  2. At the moment in order to go back to editing my document I need to choose it once again or opening another one and then close it.
It makes working on GoodNotes a bit messy.

Thanks for the suggestion. We will see how we can improve the user experience in the future. For now, please open the search tab where you can find the “Recently opened documents” section.

  3. Have notes sync in real time. Maybe allow multiple users to edit. For example making a presentation in which you have a full view of it on one screen and can make live edits with the Apple Pencil. Kinda like google docs

  6. When we finish writing a sheet and we want to go to the next one, if we don't have it created, it gives us the option to add a sheet. It would be much better if it automatically added a sheet with the used template, without having to go to the menu to choose template.

  7. It annoys me that you have to change the template by yourself each time you want to swipe to add a new page after a pdf. Because when swiping a new page, behind a pdf dokument, to write on you get the template of the pdf dokument and you have to change the template to a writeable page.

So please let us self-define the template after EACH (pdf) page!

In case you want to select a different template than the previous page’s template, please tap on the + button in the navigation bar. You can add new templates from frequently used ones or from the template library if you scroll all the way to the end in the horizontal list of templates.

  8. And then be able to remove the gridlines afterwards. This would be super helpful on homework that we have to write on. Or, add light gridlines/squares to the zoom feature.

It sounds like you will only need to remove the grind lines to submit it. In this case, please consider writing on paper with grid or lines first and then just use “change paper template” in … menu when you’re done. Alternatively, you can also disable “Include Page Background” in the export options.

  9. Even if the corresponding page is deleted, the PDF outline remains as it is.And it making the outline difficult to see. I want you to be able to add or delete new PDF outlines as well as custom outlines.

  10. Hi, could you introduce a Cornell model without the writing line? Online the cornell setting lines. I would be nice if i need to print some page for study or share with my professor at university, and i can't print all the grey ruled lines for help writing.
It would be fantastic and help full for other people like me that loves cornell.

  11. Please allow me to customize the pages I want to export instead of doing one at a time or the whole document! It's a pain.

  13. When importing your own template and press enter or are at the end of a page the zoom box jumps the whole zoom box length instead of going to the next line. So being to able to set where different lines are when importing a new template would be very helpful so the workflow can be as good as with the good notes original templates.

  14. Right now only one-by-one selection is possible in the thumbnails. Would be great if pages could be selected in batches, like photos in built-in Photos app.

GoodNotes allows you to select multiple pages from a PDF after tapping the “select” button in the upper right of the thumbnail view. You can also use two fingers two swipe over the thumbnails to select a range of pages.

If you’re writing with a hand position that comes from the top so it accidentally touches the navigation bar, we recommend moving bar position to the bottom. You can do that in GoodNotes > Menu > Settings > Document editing.

  16. Since the last update the screen keyboard doesn‘t work correctly. I just see a part of it. In other apps the keyboard works correctly.

This is most likely a bug with the system that is triggered by GoodNotes somehow. Please try quitting the app in the background and try restarting your device. If it still happens, please let us know the exact steps to reproduce the problem and send them to support@goodnotes.com.

    1. Improve Chinese text recognition. Chinese handwriting to text conversion should not be limited to traditional Chinese but allow for simplified Chinese. Simplified Chinese is more commonly used than traditional Chinese.

GoodNotes supports traditional and simplified Chinese. You can set the language for the entire document when you create it or in the search field after typing in some characters.

You can also set the language for recognition after you select something and converted it by tapping on the language button in the bottom right corner.

  17. Add a notebook to home screen like safari does with web pages (I don’t know if Apple let you do that)

  18. I would love to see the ability to store common shapes or drawings in a "Shape Library" to minimize recreation work. My current workaround is typically to have these on a blank page in a notebook and go back and forth copying/pasting, but this is inefficient.

  19. When being used as a whiteboard for lectures, it is difficult for a student to copy down everything before the lecturer moves on. It would be awesome if the lecturer could write on one page while the previous page is still displayed.

This way, the presenter can zoom in on the current page to write comfortably, but multiple pages can be seen. It would be like having two whiteboards in a room so that students or meeting attendees can keep up without the presenter having to partition the current page by lines and awkward zooming

This can be achieved by opening the same GoodNotes document in two windows side by side and presenting from one. While the audience can focus on the previous page, you can freely navigate around in the other window. You can set which window to present from in the sharing menu.
