Please allow us to auto-deselect all tools (highlighter, shapes, and lasso). Thank you!

Manage Goodnotes files location
It would be great if Goodnotes either took advantage of the Files app and stored its files in this location ... or ... had an option which allowed the user to set the location (eg Files, OneDrive, iCloud, etc).
This is particularly important for reinstalling the app as all files are lost.

MORE PENS!!
More pens on the top tool bar -- I like to have a certain color for certain parts of my notes for medical school. I.e. green for treatment, red for disorder, blue for diagnosis, and then I write everything else in black so I keep having to go back and forth. Instead of like 3 choices being available at one time, having 5 or 6 would be awesome

Box Select
Right now, there is only "free-form" select.
It would be convenient to have a "box-select" option that selected everything in the window. Similar to a cropping tool.

free movement of the page on the screen
Being able to have free movement of the page, e.g. the left corner of the page on the right side of the screen, because currently what is happening is that the page snaps back to the center when you try to do that.
Say you want to write some text on the far left side of the screen so you want to move the page to the right, well currently you can't...

Add a pencil and 2 page view
Add a pencil! It will make it feel more natural! Also, would be nice if 2 pages are displayed when tablet is in landscape mode. It'd make it feel so real that it’d take it above and beyond any other app!

trigonometric functions (sin, cos, ....)
Adding the detection of trigonometric functions (sin, cos, ....) with upsetting and stretching function of the shape to represent the amplitude and different frequencies.

Study Mode
Lock out other apps when in study mode, maybe also an integrated pomadoro timer (25mins studying, 5 minute break, repeat 4 times, then 20 min break)

Duplicate document in split screen more easier
Using the „open in new Window“ Split Screen Mode should be enabled with just using one window, so you can duplicate your document you actual using without opening another document by unnecessary.

White background for legal
Make the Legal paper template available in white background. For printing purposes, I want the background to be white but the lines come out in printing.

Real Student offering Honest App Advice! PLEASE LISTEN!
Hello!
I absolutely love your app, it has completely changed the way I take notes and I love it!
I do have honest suggestions that would greatly improve this application from the student's perspective.
Toolbar Customizability; The ability to add more than one tools that you often use into the toolbar by dragging and dropping. For example, I really wish I could add more than 3 colours on the main toolbar. I switch between a lot of colours, and it is quite a pain to go into each individual tool section and choose it. Increase Ability to Zoom Out or Automatically add white space for annotating PDFs
When reading an article or reviewing a professor’s lecture slides (they always upload it as a PDF instead of a PPT format so I can’t edit the way it is exported). GoodNotes often fills the whole page with the PDF. It makes it great for reading, however, there isn’t much space to annotate. I usually get around this by zooming out but GoodNotes is a bit more rigid when it comes to that. Other than that it is a great app!

Better keyboard support
can yall make it more similar to like how onenote allows you to create bullet points and overall a better typing experience in the case that i rather type out my notes on my mac rather than put them into word and can have all my notes in a single place.

2in1 pages view
I don't meant that 2in1 pages is shown 2 docs in split view. I mean same doc , but can see previouse pages and next page side by side. Like normal book.

Add alias to the file system
I have a lot of files in Goodnotes. Sometimes I want to access them in two folders but don't want to have two separate files. Therefore, please add alias to the file system.

Presentation mode through wifi (indicated URL in web browser)
Presentation mode through wifi (indicated URL in web browser).
The presentation mode is available through Apple TV and an HDMI cable. It would be great to present the screen of Goodnotes wirelessly to an external screen, such as a digital whiteboard.
The app "Airsketch PRO" has this feature by typing an indicated URL in the webbrowser of the external screen. Bringing this feature to Goodnotes makes presenting much more flexible. No need for an Apple TV and without a cable you can walk further away from the external screen.

Option to turn Action Items into Reminders or a To-Do list
After a day of meetings, I find myself not remembering to go back to the "action items" (or forgetting the action items.) Would be so powerful if action items were automatically added to iOS reminders, or even if there was a quick manual way (i.e., circle the actions with lasso and have option to create/add to remdiners.)

Improve handwriting tracking, no modifying
The handwriting seems like neat, like auto modifying?I’d like a more smooth handwriting style, I write, and GoodNotes just show what I write, instead of modifying it at first.
