Something that Notability has and Goodnotes doesn’t: when selecting a text the option of changing not only color but thickness.

Hole Punched Template
Have a hole punched paper template option so that people are able to see where the holes will be if they are printing it. I sometimes have to print documents from GoodNotes and place them in a binder so it would be helpful to know where certain objects/text would get cut off.

Add the recent opened notes list somewhere in the notes manager
It’s very helpful to easily go between notes which are located in different categories !

Ability to change paper color
It appears that the only way to get a white piece of paper is to use the standard paper. It would be great to be able to change the default paper type color within a notebook.

The ability to use the app on my surface pro!
I hate that I can't use Goodnotes on my Surface Pro, My job is office based, we don't have ios, and it sure would be nice to use my digital planner...or at least a web based option.

Put pen color options to the magnified writing section
- During writing I need to switch pen’s color and thickness and this slows down me. Make available more than one pen with adjustable color and thickness on both trays at the top and in magnified writing area.
- When changing the pen s color ... I need to go all the way to top and adjust it , so I am losing time.
- After adjusting color and thickness this setting windows must be closed automatically so we can save time with this too

Be able to zoom outside the page borders
When you zoom in/out the borders snap to the edges of the ipad.
It can feel especially cramped when i'm trying to write at the top left of the page or when i'm nearing the bottom of the paper.

Add handwriting practice paper
I’d like a paper template that uses the solid & dashed lines for handwriting practice. Many of us are new to writing on a tablet, and GoodNotes is sophisticated enough for practice to matter. I’m talking about paper lined like this:

Unlock Constraints
I'd like to resize images to fit another space on my page but I can't make it look nice because I can only resize proportionately. Let us unlock constraints so if I want something long and skinny or short and fat ect I can. I hate the resizing being locked.

allow quick-select options for highlighters in the zoom box, and also different widths for the pen quick-selects
fully customisable quick select options on the zoom box to allow us to have heading-width pen size and colours and different highlighter colours all just a single tap away.

The shape and line recognition feature is great but would be even better if I could draw a filled shape.

It will be great to add the ability to import Apple notes files into the app instead of purchasing a separate app.

Page Widgets (Dates, Page Numbers, Check Boxes, etc.)
It would be great to add widgets to pages and choose to have these be per page or persistent (thus appearing on every new page in the location selected). Widgets I'd love to place on my pages would be:
Date/Time - Box that shows the date/time (with option for format). When you add this it will place it with current date or time but user can tap to change. If you choose to make it persistent, when you create a new page it will use the current date/time unless user changes.
Page # - Simple text to show current page…

Audio Transcriptions & AI Audio Enhancer
Using OpenAI's Whisper model which is open sourced, Goodnotes can enhance the audio recordings done on the iPad and also feed them through OpenAI's Whisper model for on-device audio transcriptions.
This will maintain user privacy and provide unlimited transcriptions at the expense of battery life but it would be well worth it to click transcribe and have a textview in a window to the right that is synced to the time. Notability has done this and it looks fantastic.

pencil/pen stabilizer
add a stabilizer like on procreate so handwriting would look more neat and less shaky. useful for people with bad handwriting or disabilities.

Dashed lines and arrow
As a physics lecturer, I need dashed lines, curves and arrow (Solid and dashed both) very frequently. Please add these features asap because these are very basic things while taking notes.
