[Tape] Remove Tape on PDF Export
I love the tape feature, but it’s annoying that the PDF backups of my goodnotes files on google drive have tape on them. It’s useful if it’s in the app, but it’s not for backups. Goodnotes, please fix this! Give us an option to remove tape on backups and exports.

Smarter Auto-Return to Last Writing Tool
I want to describe my workflow to clarify the feature I'm asking for. I use the Apple Pencil with Goodnotes, and when I double tap the Pencil, it switches to the eraser. After I finish erasing, Goodnotes already has an option to return to the previous tool automatically, which is great.
The issue is that this behavior only works in some situations. I need a dedicated setting that guarantees the following:

Lasso tool select all
If you like to use the lasso tool to move - let‘s say - only textboxes, then you have to deselect all other categories manually. When you are done moving textboxes, then you want to select every category, then you have to manually turn on everything.
It would be great, if you can turn on/off all the categories. There should be a box called „all“ on top of all categories.

Keep Font Menu Open for Previewing Fonts
I wish the font menu could stay open as you preview your text or text box in various fonts, and also remember your place in the font list instead of going back to top of the custom fonts menu each time.
Currently, the process goes as follows: select the box or the text > open the fonts menu > go to custom fonts > choose a font > font menu closes and you see what your text looks like in the selected font.
Next, reopen the fonts menu > go to custom fonts > scroll back through the custom fonts…

In-App Split Screen Feature
With the current iPad update (Liquid glass), it makes the split screen feature FAR more volatile (closes with hand touches when writing) and reduces space available to write in (as the middle part now takes up more). It also feels very visually unpleasing, as it doesn't fill up all corners..
It would be nice if there were an inapp version to split documents that optimizes space. It would be even NICER if we could have the main toolbar stretch along the two documents.

More Presets for Pens and Highlighters
I use different colors and sizes to signify different things in my notes (ex. disease name, symptoms, risk factors, pathological findings...). I would like the option to have more presets in the toolbar rather than having to keep changing the presets because I have used all of the available ones already.

Add Highlighter Functionality for Mouse Users
I am an iPad user and frequently work with GoodNotes using an external mouse.
However, I noticed that several tools in the app are not fully supported when using a mouse. In particular, the highlighter tool cannot be used properly with mouse input, which significantly limits productivity for users who prefer or rely on this type of interaction.
I would like to suggest the implementation of full mouse support for the highlighter tool and other drawing features. Adding this functionality would greatly enhance the user experience and make GoodNotes even more versatile for those using the app in desktop-like workflows.

Reference manager
I am a masters student who uses good notes to read and highlight all my articles. I think that adding a reference managing option, to keep all my notes, articles highlights and references will have a lot of value, especially when working on projects such as thesis or dissertation, where there are a lot of articles to read and manage. It will be great to manage my references in the same place

Text Conversion and Editing Features
Hello Goodnotes team and community,
I am a regular user of Goodnotes and love the flexibility of the note-taking feature. I would like to propose an important improvement to the Handwriting to Text feature.
Current Issue:
Currently, when I convert a piece of handwriting, the resulting text appears in a pop-up dialog. If I need to correct a minor typo or add a period/comma, I have to: block blastCopy the corrected text.
Paste it into the note page.
Delete the original handwriting.
This process is very time-consuming and disrupts the flow of notes.

기본 펜을 볼펜으로 사용하는데 앱 나갔다 들어올 때마다 볼펜으로 설정해놨던 거를 기억 못해서 매번 바꾸는 게 너무 번거로워요. 빠른 피드백 부탁드립니다. 업데이트 전에는 안 이랬어요

Search bar looking for words on photos
When I'm looking for specific notes, I typically use the search tool to find a particular word or topic. However, most of my notes consist of photos from the textbook and written notes; the search bar, unfortunately, never finds words that are in photos and only works with handwritten notes. I would love for the search bar to improve and search for words on images and handwritten notes.

MIRROR TOOL
Hand drawing could be improved massively with a horizontal and vertical mirroring tool. Technical and scheme drawing would be much cleaner and faster.

New update selecting images
With the new update, the ways that images get/don’t get selected is weird. The icon in the toolbar is only for inserting, whereas before I would use it to move and edit my images, and I would have the lasso deselected for images so I wouldn’t accidentally edit my background/template. Now I still have images deselected because I don’t want to move images while I’m moving something else, but now instead of using the image icon I have to hit the pen tool and select there, which seems to defeat the purpose? I just don’t get why I can select…

Split Screen
95% of the time I use this app I am in split screen mode. Just yesterday I was able to switch between pen colors and pen sizes with 1 tap. Now (even stripping my tool bar to the bare minimum) the pen sizes are consolidated and I need to tap a button then tap the pen size I want- even though there is extra space in the bar to expand the menu. single colour pick selection/lasso
Colour picker to PICK ONE SPECIFIC COLOUR to SELECT ONLY!!
For example: only SELECT the grey pencil lines but DON'T SELECT the BLACK or RED PENCIL strokes nearby or on top!
That we we can ALTER those specific lines ONLY!! ( For example colour change them afterward, copy paste or change size or move them only)
Currently it's VERY TEDIOUS or IMPOSSIBLE to PICK SPECIFIC Lines when there are many..Would be GREAT for SKETCHING!! And that way we could SKETCH in ONE colour and draw in ANOTHER COLOUR on TOP and STILL be able to change the older lines below…1 vote -
Highlighter shapes
I think it would be very benefitial to be able to pick basic shapes for the highlighter. Even simply being able to choose the rounded edge or a straight edge. You offer a few options for the pen, so in the same vein, keeping a few options for the highlighter could be set up the same way! Being able to have sharp and exact edges could really make notes look alot cleaner, without all the overlap! Thanks so much!
