Exactly! That is one feature I miss from Apple Notes - the pens are nice, but a pencil is something I use in my non-digital notes so often - for comments, sketches, graphs... I am surprised why so little people voted this idea!

Cannot possibly agree more. I often switch away from GoodNotes to other apps to sketch ideas, then I grab them an paste them into GoodNotes. 😖

Please, please, please include a pencil for sketching. This would make one of my favorite apps even better.

Totally agree!! Please can you consider adding a texturize pencil? It would be totally perfect having great other pen types combined with the natural use of the application. After annotating my document on Book, this tool is really the first need for me.

Please consider this! Pencil "ink" feature makes a world of difference for both notes and sketches.

Absolutely agree. After switching from Apple Notes all pens in GoodNotes feel odd. Having same pencil tool as in Notes would be great because there it is simply fantastic and feels so natural.

THIS. I absolutely love the feeling of writing with the pencil tool in Apple Notes, but Apple Notes doesn’t provide half the awesome functionality of GoodNotes. I would be so psyched to see GoodNotes add a pencil tool similar to the one in Apple Notes! That graphite action tho!

I agree. Better pen integration is the key feature I would love to see. Look at the IOS Notes app for as close to perfect a pen integration I have found. If you could combine that level of Apple pen integration with your superior document setup and management you would have the killer app to replace physical notebooks.

I agree! This is the singular most important feature needed in GoodNotes. Similar to the way Apple Notes handles the Pencil (simulated graphite) tool - with ability to sense pressure to modify the darkness and thickness of the pencil stroke.

This is the most needed tool for me. Writing with a pencil gives an organic feeling to the writing that the pens can't achieve. I love the pencil in Apple Notes, and I would love to have something similar in Goodnotes.

I very much would like a pencil tool. Right now the only reason I still have Noteshelf on my iPad is so I can use the pencil tool which gives me better control with my Apple Pencil. I have no idea how difficult or easy this might be - but please undertake this upgrade soon!

I would LOVE a pencil writing tool. Exactly like apple notes. It’s the only thing keeping GoodNotes from being perfect.

To create A more natural sende of writing and taking notes

Good notes has a pen, fountain pen and highlighter tools. Please consider adding a pencil tool as well! Sometimes the problem with pen type tools is they don’t allow for opacity sensitivity. Pencil tools allow this to happen and if I go over a line again It can become darker.
I would love for a pencil tool that is similar to the pencil tool in apple notes!
