Full screen mode
The GUI has a lot of "lost space" - especially in landscape mode. Would be great to have the full screen for a sheet of paper with a rearrangeable toolbar. Would be extremely helpful for iPads with 9.7 or the upcoming 10.5".

Hey guys, u can reach the full screen mode by activating the “read only” mode (icon circled in the attached file) and then just tapping once the screen.

The lack of full screen mode makes the app less than useful on my iPad Pro 11” - looking at switching apps or upgrading to a 12.9 or both...

This would be more than helpful. I spent $1,000 on an ELMO doc cam and $1,500 on an iPad Pro to have redundant options for teaching a college math class. I've been using computers 50 years so I'm not a Luddite. Rather I'm continually bummed that the computer revolution has gone so slowly. Here, a physical sheet of paper doesn't move or resize till I tell it to, and there are no distractions in the visual field. It is plainly idiotic to subject one's audience to controls they don't need to see. It's like when someone makes a presentation, has no idea how to go full screen, and the audience is tittering "what a moron" as they see private text messages pop up on screen. Moral: Don't get cute on ANY features till you'll successfully replaced the physical equivalent, a sheet of paper. I'm moving on.

This is really frustrating indeed. Right now with GoodNotes almost 25% of the total screen real estate on an iPad Pro is taken by menus, tools and general clutter. Please let me know if I’m missing something and having the paper go full screen is an option. I have found free apps on the AppsStore that can do this sadly.

Yep hiding the toolbar so you don't activate tools accidentally when writing at the top of the page would be ideal.

Wow, it's been 3 years since the original post and still no full screen option. Maybe they are saving it for goodnotes 6 to market it as a "new feature"?

I am a professor and teaching online to hundreds of students and will very much appreciate if goodnotes make a floating toolbar as it will allow me to use full screen to write and convey my concepts and will help to add more contents in same page. This will help hundred of students to see the concept in the same page without browsing to next page. Our student will appreciate such feature.
Full screen is a must have feature for such usage.

I would use full screen mode in combination with a screen sharing / conference app to present my notes in a meeting. Please add that feature.

As this is such an excellent app in just about every other way, one can only wonder why a complete fullscreen option isn’t already available for us customers and users who pay a premium price for your product. Having to look at toolbars can actually be a creativity killer. We should be able to fill our entire iPad screens with only "paper", just like the situation always would be with a regular non-digital notebook. I’m also not excited about having to zoom in to avoid the margin/borders on the sides of my notes. I get that you are trying to make the notes print out-friendly, but sometimes people just keep things digital without printing it - ever, and those of us who likes it that way, should not have to deal with a problem like that.
Best regards,
Kevin

The rearrangeable Toolbar in iPadOS Notes is great, and the Options to hide the toolbar automatically is great too.
Please implant such an toolbar in the fullscreen-mode of GoodNotes! -

The toolbar is too large, an option to hide the outermost bar (that with the name of the block note) would be great
