Password protect
It would be great if you had an option to password protect a selected notebook in case you have to create one that would contain sensitive information.

This feature is extreme important for me and will make the difference in my considerations to further make use of GoodNotes or switch to a different App.
Selective Password protection is essential!
With all the user requests, do you see a roadmap for adding this feature?
Thanks a lot! -

This is the one feature that is making me regret buying GoodNotes. Love the functionality of the app but need it to be secure and can’t do that

It very necessary to have a password lock for folders and files

This would be handy. I think the app in general along with notebook specific locks would be great!
Business docs vs. personal docs - like a personal journal could have different Pws. Could be numerical or text. -

Please, add lock. This is one of the important feature I need. I guess we all need.

I doubt Goodnotes cares.. They seem to do as they please, regardless, the ios/M1 macbook air version is worse than the ipad version 4 on my old ipad.. I still use the old version as it is far better than the most recent version.. Goodnotes refuse to update.

I really think we need that specially when its on ios where we can not put third party locks , please launch it ASAP… I don’t feel my notes/journal or anything is safe here, i m sure rest of the people believe the same.

This is my top wanted feature I feel like my personal journal should be password protected.

UNBELIEVABLE! Just because of the lack of this simple and basic feature, I am seriously considering switching to Notability even though I’ve stored hundreds of notes in this app. There are so many sensitive and secretive subjects to write on but all that is drawn back just because of this reluctant fact that any of my friends or families can happen to get across to my top secret informations and thoughts when they are browsing my iPad. It’s not a hard function to add please do it for the sake of our mental safety

This is really nice and useful feature. Thanks for sharing this kind of helpful post. I hope you will post more ideas like this. https://www.prepaidgiftbalance.vip

To be honest, I am really thinking that Goodnotes truly does not care about anything we post, the M1 Macbook app is just about useless, and despite almost daily updates, the most critical aspects are still not addressed... Goodnotes needs to be open about the future of the app, it is starting to resemble a scam...

I am going to start shopping for another note taking app unless you figure out the password protection. This has gone on too long...please provide us with a target release!

GOODNOTES ALL YOU DO WILL FAIL WITHOUT SECURING YOUR APP !!!!!!!

Guys, please stop ignoring all the users' pleas regarding the implementation of password-protected notes feature on your app. Should not be so difficult to do in 2022...

This is a very basic feature for a note taking app, yet almost 10! years later, it still isn't implemented yet. What are you guys doin?

I don’t know why y’all continue hoping GoodNotes will add password protection. How many years are you going to wait before you switch to another app? If you want to password protect your notes or your folders, use a different app. Period. The company’s continued refusal to let you password protect your notes should be a HUGE red flag to all of you. It’s unfortunate. It’s a great app but the ongoing refusal to add security measures is mind-boggling in this day and age. Be careful with what you put in the app.

Nearly 10 years and nothing done? Date protection should be at the top of the top issues for every software developer.
So go for it! -

This has been sitting here for almost 10 uears and it hasn’t been implemented? How could securing sensitive data you might include in GoodNotes not be a thing without us asking for it?
