Hello greetings
I am trying to write in my local language gujarati but during import as well as changing other languages nots fonts disturbing also not text selecting property.
I want to request to add indic Gujarati Font
I am also requesting for the water mark directly in goodnote
Also add button for remove by default font which are provided by GoodNote5
You can add defined and undefined icons automatically so we dont need to enter manually number to paragraphs -

Add a ruler and other geometrical instruments, it’s annoying to make straight lines and semi-circles.

Started using Evernote and it would be great if Goodnotes that I paid for and love could do the same auto sync job that penultimate does for free. goodnotes is much better in all other respects, cheers

Love the app!
I would the option to label my bookmarks. Also I would like a post it feature which would allow me to annotate on crowded pages.

Hi all,
Been using for a year and love the app. Two suggestion: a color picker ( touch a color and have that color available to use) & a toggle button to go from “Documents” view which shows all your folders directly into the open documents view with all the tabs. The current work around to go back into the tab view is to open a new document or click one in the “Search” page.Thanks!

The huge size of PDF exported files is a real problem. 25 pages of hand taken notes are 47 MB. After running this file through the "optimize scanned file" feature of Adobe Acrobat Pro, the file size is reduced to < 800kb with no visible change in quality whatsoever. This is a factor >50. I cannot share my notes when they are 50MB large. The extra Adobe Acrobat step is a real nuisance since I need to transfer the file to a different computer before.

Hello,
I am very grateful the Goodnotes team is ever listening to its app users, as I noticed that Goodnotes has seen a lot of version updates ever since its upgrade from Goodnote v4 to v5. Kudos!!
With that said, I personally believe Goodnotes is lagging behind other competitors (such as Notablility and Noteshelf) when it comes to formatting function of text editor tool. Other apps have at least an optional formatting tool such as bulleting, numbering as well as indenting the level of the bullet points.
And so may I ask that Goodnotes also catches up with some sort of formatting tools added to its text editor?

Great app, love using it.
Would it be possible to update the scrolling to apple’s new way of doing it in iOS? Currently the scrolling can be sloppy and take a long time especially if the doc is long.
Would it also be possible to add a color tool that matches a color from a doc. I can’t remember the specific name but it’s a popular tool within most drawing apps.Thank you!

I just thought I’d make the suggestion to perhaps have some sort of promotion during this difficult period, as many people are stuck at home and would probably care to learn your app with the free time (myself included). Many other developers are taking this approach and I hope you might consider it too.

Post it/stickies. It would be nice to have a small icon that ‘holds’ the note and expands when tapped on. Kind of like post it’s in iBooks.

Under iPadOS, when importing the PPT files into GN5, the display inside the app like a single long photo onto only one page, it just happened in recent days perhaps after the latest update.

GoodNotes is undeniably an excellent app, and it's really helped me with studying :) There's just one feature that is driving me a little bit nuts...
The straight line tool is oftentimes not a "straight line"... I understand that app developers may want to accommodate more shapes, but the current level of sensitivity is too much. I struggle with drawing most straight lines, and it's quite tedious if I'm trying to draw graphs and so on. Thank you for your help!

For the lasso tool. The blank space where the colour and size selection is should be toggles for the lasso tool. Like if I want to lasso just the handwriting and not the image/highlights or if I don't want to move textboxes. This would be really useful when adding side notes to annotations

Default viewing mode in the documents section. So I can look at the main page as a list of folders, but when I open a folder a see a screen of journals.

When copy and paste a longer text it should automatically split into several textboxes and generate the needed amount of pages.
Add png import, that way it is possible to import screenshots direct
In apple mail or outlook (iOS) i should be possible to direct export a mail as a note into Good notes -

- Make the same column view as in the mac finder.
- Add some minor text features like enumerations or checkboxes
- Add Tables
