1. Is this Windows verson abandoned?

   I installed beta verson about three to four weeks ago, and there has been no update since then while all other apps on MS store have updated almost every weeks.
   When will this application import from and export to iPad version, import PDF file, work with Dropbox or any tiny improvement?

2. Set Goodnotes as File share option in Android apps.

   Today i am only able to export into Samsung Notes as PDF. In iOS i can export from apps like my news reader or microsoft edge into Goodnotes directly.

3. Working with large PDFs is very laggy

   One main issue imo is that working with large PDFs is vergy laggy. I didn't test anything bettwen but PDFs with like 10 pages worked totally fine for me. No performance issues detected. But then I loaded an Ebook (PDF) with about 800 Pages into Goodnotes and working with that was absolutely painful. Not only is the writing very laggy. Sometimes Goodnotes "swallows" my writing and just draws a straight line instead. But also the scrolling and overall navigation is very laggy. If I scroll a few pagers further it takes sometimes a a while like 1 or 2 seconds to load the page. The hardware I've tested this on was a Galaxy Tab S9 and my desktop computer with strong Hardware (Ryzen 7 5800X, 4070 and 32 GB Ram).

4. managing files and folders in the windows file explorer

   goodnotes as a windows native app with the created files and folders accessible/managable throu the file explorer.
   option to choose where to save the files (saving on another drive for example, switching standart folder would also be useful)

   the folders and subfolders created in the app are made in the selcted folder, accessing it via file explorer will give you the exact same strukture

   advantages:
   -easy selecting of specific files via explorer without the need to exit already opend files (if you need to look something up while working on homework)
   -possibillity to share specifi files or complete folders without the need to export as pdf etc.
   -better controll over the saved data with good overview
   - possibility to save on NAS if desired
   - user experience would be the same as on the ipad, just the ones prefering the file explorer would have that option

   for still having the "cloud sync" feature the standart folder after installation can be onedrive, so that only the ones who want to use said features can change it.

   Pdf 파일을 여는데 자꾸 튕겨요... 약 100메가, 200메가짜리 파일인데 와 이리 버벅이는지... 고쳐주세여 ㅜㅜ

8. Windows PC, hand tool to move around whiteboard

   When using a PC with a mouse and no touchscreen, navigating around a witheboard is difficult. I would suggest having a "hand" tool like you see in PDF readers and scrollbars like in Freeform.

9. Do Quality Assurance and Test your Software

   I copied a whole page of Notes to move it around. Unfortunately I had too much confidence in this product and cut the page out and pasted it in on another page, afterwards the programm crashed and it only saved the the document where I cu the page out.
   What you can do better:
   1. Do version control (back ups), since everyone has sensitive documents and notes they cannot lose.

   Secondly I wanted to import the old file (my backup) and I couldnt continue working on it because GoodNotes recognized it as normal pdf.
   2. Add so you can save the files on your own computer and continue working on it with importing the file later on

   Thirdly I added some Pictures and moved it around. I exported my file as a pdf but unfortunately some pictures and also some handwriting covered my whole page but it didnt appear in my GoodNotes file. So the pdf just interpreted some things in which werent there. Also the screenshots had borders around it which they obviously didnt have on the file in GoodNotes which I was working on.
   3. I dont know if the new update did this but I think its not such a big deal to fix this bug since some updates before the pdf export function was working just fine.

10. I find goodnotes is pretty good

    I find goodnotes is pretty good and convenient app as it can draw the shape quickly and its ability to annotate pdf with adding pages and so. However, there might be some bug as I cannot use my lasso select sometimes using my surface pen 2 to hold it. The textbox and keyboard features should be included as it can bring a lot of convenience to the user. I hope the export pdf function is included as well otherwise we can't export our pdf and our work.

11. Same size for every page

    Please make all pages the same size. Sometimes I find it hard to navigate from an oversized pdf page to a default good notes page. It would be nice if you made all pages the same size!

12. Add some options to sidebar (page tree) e.g. sort, view, ...

    Sort : by created - by name - by modified
    View : list by name, list by medium Icon, list by Large Icon
    Edit : Select pages (delete, copy or duplicate, share as a pdf file and etc.)
    Filter : by words, by sticky notes and etc.

13. Exporting notebooks takes too long

    Title. The export function seems to be very inconsistent, where sometimes it will take a few seconds to generate a pdf, and other times it will take minutes. This is pretty bad compared to other note taking apps that I have used.

14. Add smoother pen latency, offline notebooks, and better file syncing on Android/Windows

    I’ve been using Goodnotes across Android and Windows for a while, and I really appreciate how much the cross-platform experience has improved. I’d like to suggest a few features that I think would make the non-iOS versions feel even closer to the full Goodnotes experience:

    1. Lower pen latency and more responsive strokes
       On Android tablets (especially Samsung and Lenovo), the pen feels noticeably slower than on iPad. Even a small improvement in real-time stroke rendering would make handwriting feel much more natural.

    2. Full offline notebook support
       Right now, working offline can be inconsistent. It would be great if notebooks cached locally could be edited smoothly and synced automatically once the device comes back online.

    3. Two-way syncing for external PDFs/attachments
       Editing or annotating a PDF in Goodnotes on Android/Windows doesn’t always reflect across other platforms unless manually exported. A more seamless sync would make multi-device workflows easier.

    4. Custom brush textures & pressure curve settings
       These would help artists and heavy note-takers fine-tune the writing feel.

    Thanks for the continued work on the cross-platform wheelie life version! I’m excited to see it keep improving.

15. ios linking

    I am using it on my ipad and iphone and it would be great for the workflow to have the ios appss linked to the windows version on the computer!!! Otherwise i can't use this computer version...

16. Lagging

    Sometimes I erase something and when i export that doc into a pdf, it's still showing, then even if i close the windows app it isn't erased when i export it but can't delete it because it is no there in the app.

18. More features like in the iPad version. Make it a native Windows app instead of it being a cloud-based app.

    Currently, GoodNotes is web based and more like a cloud-based service.

    This needs to change. It needs to become a native Windows app that runs natively on Windows instead through some hoops in order to make it run in a browser and then create some kind of GUI for it to make it look like a native app.

    Add more features like on Apple iPad, inserting and exporting PDF's and pictures, make it cross-platform at least through the browser so people can access their notes on their phones and different devices. More colors like on the iPad.

    As many others pointed out, just make it like the iPad version and release it when it is actually done. Beta stands for something that is near it's launch and not something that actually needs some work done to it like Cyberpunk 2077 at launch.

    Otherwise, you guys are doing a great job and I hope to see all of the mentioned improvements soon on the Windows and Android version.

19. Annotations from other platform

    Would be great if annotations (e.g. highlights, texts, memos) from other PDF editors can be edited and viewed (for the memos) on Goodnotes.

    Even link share from iPad to galaxy doesn't work. It just signs that they are preparing.....
