  2. When I write, I use a lined template that helps me structure my text. However, when I want to print the document, I prefer to remove the template. Currently, I have to change it page by page, which is time-consuming. I would like a way to update the template for multiple pages at onc

  3. Currently, PDF exports on Windows and Android are rasterized rather than vector-based. As a result, when zooming in, especially on small text, the content becomes pixelated and difficult to read (see attached image).

Vector-based PDF exports would preserve quality at any zoom level, eliminating pixelation and significantly improving readability and usability.

Since the iPad version of GoodNotes already supports high-quality vector PDF exports, it would be greatly appreciated to have the same functionality on Windows and Android. This feature would bring platform parity and substantially enhance the app’s value for users on these platforms.

[Choose your PDF format (editable or flattened) is in progress 🚧]

    Hello,

Thank you so much for sharing your suggestions! Great news! Choosing a PDF format — editable or flattened — is currently in progress and will go live soon.

Coming soon to Android, Windows, and Web: when you export a PDF, you'll be able to choose between an editable file that keeps your notes and annotations open for further editing, or a flattened version that's locked in and ready to share — so your PDF arrives exactly the way you intended.

We'll keep you updated as things move forward, and we'd love to hear your thoughts or any additional feedback you'd like to share in the meantime.

  4. When writing by hand in GoodNotes—especially while recording audio and taking notes at the same time—I frequently experience severe lag.

Because of this lag, when I try to write quickly and draw curved strokes, the app does not follow my pen movement in real time. Instead, the handwriting is rendered as a straight line connecting the starting point and the ending point of the stroke, as if the curve information is lost.

This behavior is very disruptive during fast note-taking, particularly in lectures or meetings where recording and handwriting must happen simultaneously. It breaks the natural flow of handwriting and…

  5. As what apple's version can do, I think it is important to make it easier to import pdfs to the app. In IOS version, we can directly import pdf to goodnotes app in the sharing function, but now, we need to open the app and choose the pdf, which is very inconvenient.

  6. I can pull up notebooks on the outer screen, but can't do anything with it. No options to create text boxes or draw with finger. Works decently on inter display.

  8. Option to hide the pen toolbar (writing tools) when taking notes (Android, PC and online version). It consumes precious space at the top of the page.

  9. There are two very important features need to be there for the sake of productivity.
    (1) There is no toolbar option when the "Text" option is selected in the Windows app.
    (2) The default color of the "Text" option always reverts back to black. There should be an option to select the default color in Windows app as well.

  10. add infinite canvas outside pdf doc boundaries, (that is limitless note taking and comment excerption like in liquid text pro app). This would make it the definitive note taking app, for both research and personal study. This could be killer feature for paper analysis, together with proper latex support and import export option csv files for study set…

  11. It would be nice to access the same Notebooks with markups on my ipad as my windows computer
    - Same fonts (it is the same app, so fonts should transfer over the same between ipad and windows)
    - If I have a folder on my ipad with multiple documents, the folder should be able to show up on my windows with the same files inside
    - it would also be nice if the apple calendar could be imported into goodnotes (for planner and task use)
    - Outlook emails, to be able to add files and emails into goodnotes as a…

  12. Currently, the lasso tool allows you to screenshot part of the page, but only to download it. It would be great to have an option to copy the image as well, making it easier to paste directly where needed.

  15. When I open a PDF document, I have to scroll back to the page where I left off. If it's a big document, like a book, I will hardly remember the page number. It would be nice if the app remembered the page where I left off.

  16. I'm trying to use the web version of GoodNotes on a Windows laptop with a scroll wheel mouse and would like to see space bar panning enabled. I can only move left and right by zooming out then awkwardly pushing the mouse in the direction I want to go, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
I can use the touchpad on my laptop but as I'm using another monitor, the laptop is closed.

Space bar panning is a fairly standard feature for whiteboard apps.

  17. On the web version, when the caps lock is on, the keyboard shortcut features do not work until caps lock is disabled. Can you make it so the function/method that recognizes keyboard shortcuts ignores the case and still works when caps lock is on. Thank you

  18. if I have multiple voice records in one file, there should be like an icon\sticker or something to let us play each recording associated with its specific page

ex: i have a recording to explain a topic but i have no indication in that page that there is an audio with it unless i name the recording page(blank)

  20. Hi! I’m a GoodNotes Windows (Windows Surface Pro) user and I love the app, but I’m experiencing consistent jitter/tembleque when writing slowly or making small diagonal strokes with a stylus (Windows Ink).
This issue is especially noticeable during handwriting and affects the precision of letters.

I would really appreciate if future updates could include:

improved stroke smoothing for Windows Ink

better handling of slow strokes and diagonal lines

an option to adjust smoothing levels manually

the same Stroke Engine improvements already available on iPadOS, if possible

These changes would make handwriting on Windows much more natural and stable.
    Thank you…
