1. Text boxes, shapes, multiple tabs, lagging, make it an app

   Here are some improvements I would very much like to see happen (some of which we had but were taken away in the latest updates):

   Text boxes:

   Normally you could adjust the size of the text next to the 'T' symbol which would then stay the same for the entire document, now I have to adjust the sizes with every text box I make (it always goes back to size 24) = see screenshot

   We used to be able to stay in the text function, now every time i close a text box it goes to the lasso function, every time I want to open a new text box I have to click on 'T' on my keyboard or my screen. = see screenshot

   The text sometimes dissapears when closing the text box (sometimes it reappears when opening the text box again, but not always). This has made me lose some importants notes from class.

   This significantly slows down my note taking in class. Not every powerpoint is the same size, for some classes 24 is insanely big to write in.

   Shapes:

   I never had this problem until the latest update, but whenever I make a shape (circle, square) I can't add any other shapes, lines (made by holding) into the shape. If I make them outside the shape it's very hard to select the shape (by tapping) without selecting the whole 'square'

   The previous probably has to do with the fact that the shape now has the same properties as a sticky note (clicking inside the shape selects the shape and everything in it), I don't see how this is a useful since everytime i want to make a table I'm constantly selecting the whole thing instead of just putting my hand on my screen to write. Selecting the entire shape and everything in it can be easily done with the lasso tool.

   The shapes function now exists two times? One on the big tool bar and the other on the Pen toolbar. Seems excessive, no? = see screenshot

   Mutiple tabs:

   While I love some of the latest updates, we all would like to see the ability to open multiple documents in multiple tabs like on the iOS version!

   Lagging:

   The 'app' lags so much it's insane, this is so annoying when taking notes (text function) in class (having to keep up with what the professor is saying) and when making my written notes (which is kind of what the 'app' was build for in the first place, no?)

   Make it an app:

   Make it a real app, this will probably already help with the lagging issue all of us are having and so much more.

3. The setting for preventing accidental touches

   In the past, GoodNotes had a setting that prevented me from interacting with objects such as stickers, notes, or photos without using the selection tool. It seems this setting was removed in the last major update.

4. Calendar integration for Android

   Like the Apple version.... True calendar integration. It is now common on other applications. What goes on Google Calendar shows on Good notes and vice versa.

8. Export PDF using vectors

   Currently, PDF exports on Windows and Android are not vector-based. As shown in the attached image, small text becomes pixelated and difficult to read when zoomed in.

   Since the iPad version already supports high-quality vector exports, could we please get this same functionality on Windows and Android? It would greatly improve the utility of the app.

10. New updates

    1) The app crashes after every update.
    2) I have to reconfigure features like pen colors after every update.
    3) I have to log in again after every update.
    4) The capacity of documents that can be added needs to be increased.
    5) Videos should be added just like images.
    6) Audio recording should be available.
    7) Clicking an icon always switches to the lasso icon. This should be fixed.
    8) Images should be added directly from the browser using drag and drop. We shouldn't have to download images or take screenshots every time.
    9) Adding images requires clicking a lot of things each time. It needs to be easier to use.
    10) When adding images, only one image can be added. Adding multiple images should be implemented.
    11) For Android, it should be used as an app, not through the browser.
    12) We should be able to use the app in multiple tabs.
    13) I could select the pen type a few updates ago, but now I can't.
    14) I can't change the pen settings or all settings (I can't turn off the scratch-and-erase feature, and the settings tab won't open).

11. basic editing features

    Make basic editing features available. Like: Mirroring the selection, flipping it horizontally, rotating it. I usually draw the diagrams as half and then proceed to copy it but I can't mirror it when I select it like other apps so I need to use 3rd party apps. Would be useful and I LOVE your app. Appreciation from Saudi Arabia :)

12. Handwriting lag causes curves to snap into straight lines when writing fast (especially while recording)

    When writing by hand in GoodNotes—especially while recording audio and taking notes at the same time—I frequently experience severe lag.

    Because of this lag, when I try to write quickly and draw curved strokes, the app does not follow my pen movement in real time. Instead, the handwriting is rendered as a straight line connecting the starting point and the ending point of the stroke, as if the curve information is lost.

    This behavior is very disruptive during fast note-taking, particularly in lectures or meetings where recording and handwriting must happen simultaneously. It breaks the natural flow of handwriting and makes notes inaccurate and harder to read.

14. Add smoother pen latency, offline notebooks, and better file syncing on Android/Windows

    I’ve been using Goodnotes across Android and Windows for a while, and I really appreciate how much the cross-platform experience has improved. I’d like to suggest a few features that I think would make the non-iOS versions feel even closer to the full Goodnotes experience:

    1. Lower pen latency and more responsive strokes
       On Android tablets (especially Samsung and Lenovo), the pen feels noticeably slower than on iPad. Even a small improvement in real-time stroke rendering would make handwriting feel much more natural.

    2. Full offline notebook support
       Right now, working offline can be inconsistent. It would be great if notebooks cached locally could be edited smoothly and synced automatically once the device comes back online.

    3. Two-way syncing for external PDFs/attachments
       Editing or annotating a PDF in Goodnotes on Android/Windows doesn’t always reflect across other platforms unless manually exported. A more seamless sync would make multi-device workflows easier.

    4. Custom brush textures & pressure curve settings
       These would help artists and heavy note-takers fine-tune the writing feel.

    Thanks for the continued work on the cross-platform wheelie life version! I’m excited to see it keep improving.

16. Lags and empty pages

    Sometimes Goodnotes is very slow. When it comes to switch between notebooks or browsing he directories Goodnotes takes ~10s time to load or to display the new notebook. Could you make it faster?

    When I open notebooks, I often see empty pages (whose content surely exist). I have to reopen them to see everything. Unfortunately, the empty pages are also in the PDF exports!

19. IOS and Windows

    It would be nice to access the same Notebooks with markups on my ipad as my windows computer
    - Same fonts (it is the same app, so fonts should transfer over the same between ipad and windows)
    - If I have a folder on my ipad with multiple documents, the folder should be able to show up on my windows with the same files inside
    - it would also be nice if the apple calendar could be imported into goodnotes (for planner and task use)
    - Outlook emails, to be able to add files and emails into goodnotes as a link to reference

20. Copy a screenshot

    Currently, the lasso tool allows you to screenshot part of the page, but only to download it. It would be great to have an option to copy the image as well, making it easier to paste directly where needed.
