When typing on lined paper, the text should automatically be aligned to the lines.
This would make things look much more neat.

Linierte oder karierte Lernkarten
Es wäre hilfreich, wenn es die Lernkarten auch als linierte oder karierte Lernkarten geben würde. Dann könnte man handschriftlich schöner darauf schreiben.
9 votesThanks for sharing your idea. We will add more Flash Card templates in future updates. In the meantime, please import your own custom templates and configure them as flash cards. You can do so in Menu > Notebook Templates > Edit > … > Toggle the “Flash Card” button

More powerful PDF navigator
It would be great to have a better PDF navigator like PDF Expert does. The basic functions would be:
- link support (also link within a document like the ones a LaTeX document produces.
- double pages viewing.

writing or making pictures, rectangles, circles,... opaque/translucent
When adding a picture or drawing a box, form,..., there is an option to make it either opaque or translucent with grading in percentage. Also, writing in translucent would be also very nice for several works.

Strike off to erase
I really love the good notes app but the experience if often frustating when I'll have to erase something. I think if there is a functionality like strike to erase it will be of lot of ease , it has to be like I scribble on the text and the text gets erased

Add rounded corners to rectangle, triangle, etc. shapes.
This would given a more "drawn" feel to shapes.

Goodnotes Available to view and edit online
Much like Google Docs or One Note, It would be nice to have an online access point to view and edit notes. This can be a solution to the unavailable PC App and viewing on a stranger computer, where you may not want to spend the time to download the app. (i.e. Group projects/study Share)

Different Color palette based on white or black template
E.g Automatically switch black to white pen color when opening a black (template) document

Change Templates of Multiple Pages at Once
I write with lined paper, but would like to remove the lines afterwards. It's just not feasible to do this at present, having to change the template of every page one by one.

More colours on the frequently used colour palette
It is getting tedious for me to switch between 6 commonly used colours with a 3-slot palette when there is clearly space on the app interface to accommodate all 6 of them.

Ability to rotate paper
I love using the Apple Pencil. One nitpick: if we could rotate pages with 2 fingers in any direction it would be great. I tend to write at an angle with page turned slightly clockwise. Having the page be perfectly vertical or horizontal is uncomfortable after a lot of writing. Another app that does this well is Procreate.

Automatic "To Do List"
This was also listed under "Automatic Action Item" back in 08/19 - but I think it should be considered.
I have many notebooks (one for each customer). I want the ability to mark written text as an "Action Item" in any notebook (Use the "lariat" tool?) and they automatically get added to an "Action Items" notebook so they are all in one place.
Each item is listed under a separate bullet and can be deleted once completed.
Having the option once lassoed to create a calendar reminder / update would be nice, but probably far-reaching at this point.

Improve the shape tool so you can easily make squares, circles, etc
Now it is very difficult to make a perfect square with the shape tool. It would be nice if you add pre defined shapes or improve the shape recognition.
Also a two fingers gestures to resize and rotate the figures would be awesome.9 votes -
More brush/pen styles + let users use procreate brushes on app
I have several realistic brushes for procreate such as muji pen and 6B pencil and i believe it would give potential customers more incentive to use GoodNotes if they were able to write with a realistic handwriting or change the style of their pen. This increased customisation would result in a better ability to feel like you truly are studying. Please do add it in as I have taken to writing on procreate and importing it into GoodNotes and it is a rather inconvenient process/ situation that GoodNotes is well capable of improving to their benefit. Share and sync with other goodnotes users
I’d be great if we could share some notes with other GoodNotes customers. I don’t mean real-time edition, I mean only sharing and sync the changes, like sharing a folder or a PDF on Dropbox or Google Drive, the same walkthrough. Thanks

Set default zoom window indent location for paper templates
Goodnotes allows you to set a return line height to match a template's line width, so that when you click the "return" button in the zoom window it moves down the page the right amount to begin writing on the next line.
However, Goodnotes does not allow one to set a default "indent" setting for that template. Templates with margins -- for instance Cornell -- would be much more useful if the user did not have to manually set the indent each time / on each page of a notebook.

Goodnotes 5 doesn't allow printing a user-selection of pages
I am trying to print a range of pages in Goodnotes 5.
I pull up thumbnail view of the pages in my notebook. I click Select, then mark the pages I'd like to print, then export to PDF, then I am not given an option to print the pages. I am only given options to upload to cloud, save to iPad, etc. The only printing features I can find in Goodnotes 5 are to print the current page and to print the entire notebook.
I had no problems doing this in Goodnotes 4. Please fix.

Better image import
Sometimes I import the same image more than once onto a page. The first time, the image will be of a certain size. The second time I import it, it comes in larger. This is very puzzling. 9-handle resize as well as alignment options would be welcome. And like others, I don't understand why images come in so large. Even when they're made pretty small.
