Password protect
It would be great if you had an option to password protect a selected notebook in case you have to create one that would contain sensitive information.

It would be perfect to be able to secure every notebook with a password (like "notes" app on mac os); many people - such as me - use GoodNotes as a journal as well.
Thank you!! -

This feature absolutely MUST be added it is the only thing missing from this app. Other than that it is a perfect app! Hopefully you guys will add it soon!

I'm loving Goodnotes, it's incredible. I'd be able to use it for so much more if I could lock specific notebooks, please add this feature.
Thanks

I was a reluctant user of GoodNotes but slowly it grew on me. I found myself using it all the time now, in making notes, making PDFs, sending handwritten reminders to myself or family ... oh, I love GoodNotes now
They, GoodNotes needs to provide a locking mechanism on it... that’s the only con of using GoodNotes I could think

It's actually surprising that an App that is surely used for Journaling would not offer a way to lock individual Notebooks or pages with a password :D Keep up the good work and please add this feature, guys!

Totally understand that users can just secure their device to prevent any snooping, but users do share with family and we want to keep something away from prying eyes
Ability to see her app or notebook, folders would be ideal

I know this has already been suggested many years ago and continuously throughout, but to maybe push this back up to the top of the line for reviews, please enable passwords for documents!!!

The initial demande dates from 2013. And for the past 7 years, there has been no reaction from developers. It must be concluded that the security of the notes is absolutely not the priority of the developers who prefer to develop additional functionalities (stamp). This is really surprising because competing applications have all been integrating this element for a long time. From there to believing that developers do not wish to lock the notes in order to keep access to the content, there is only one step ;-)

The lack of this feature [reverts me from using the app professionally as I’m sure it does many others. Should be simple to implement and would really increase the market size for GoodNotes 5.

I wish some reviews on the App Store reflected the fact that this critical feature is holding what seems to be a great product back. I have written one to help people who might need this to be informed.
I assumed a feature like password protection would be a given and if you want to record sensitive thoughts or work related notes, you really can’t. For the purpose I wanted to use GoodNotes for, I needed some basic security to be provided.

Absolutely! It's hard to write a journal using GoodNotes without the ability to password protect notes or notebooks.
