Merge documents
Under the "move" command in the main menu, add option to merge/move/combine notebooks/documents

in AutoCAD there's a ability to collate drawings into a single 'master'; and if changes want to be made to one of the components of that master, the that component must be opened. For large Goodnotes files, such an approach would also work well

I would be helpful to merge one document with another. By default, I suggest to append one document to the other. This helps keeping track of multiple versions of a document in one single notebook, and helps reducing the number of notebooks overall

Hi, happy customer here :) The āMerging-Pages-and-Notebooks-Togetherā support doc (4432013197711) talks about merging documents. No mention of merging QUICKNOTES. When I was a new user ALL the docs i created were āQUICKNOTESā. Pls update the support doc- merging quicknotes directly seems to be supported (Iām running v 5.9.108). Thx.

When collaborating on documents, sometimes it may be necessary to make a copy to make individual annotations. However, making a copy will not keep other annotations up-to-date/synced with the master/main copy. Thus, a feature allowing users to āforkā a document and keep it synced while adding their own edits in their forked document would be useful. This is important and especially essential for educational settings where a teacher or project leader may wish to distribute a template version for individuals to edit, but keep annotations or edits updates on all copies.
A further extension to this would be the ability to make pull requests back to the original document and merging from forks. This will be very useful for collaborative note-taking.

Inspiration for this suggestion comes from cloning/forking repositories in source code version control systems like Git.

I totally agree. I need to be able to grade multiple student assignments and then merge them together into one document. I love the GoodNotes app but I canāt use it because of this limitation. I have to use PDF Expert instead, since it enables me to merge.

Yes! This is the only reason all our students do not fully commit to GoodNotes! It would be amazing if PDFs could be merged.

I totally agree! I am struggling to organize my many quick notes into one single notebook after my semester just ended. I wish I organized better in the beginning but I'm new to the goodnotes app. It would be very helpful to combine notebooks and to actually consolidate all quick notes from a single class....

It would be awesome to have a merge option when selecting several documents within a folder (on top of exporting, duplicating, moving, and deleting the selected files)

Sometimes when you go to import a file as a new document the path will have a filename at the end which even though you select create a new document it ends up merging into that document.

I have various forms in different notebooks and want to be able to choose single pages from any or all of the notebooks to create a new document.
