Line Smoothing with pen tool
Create a sliding bar to adjust the strength of the line smoothness to personal preference - from
Really strong to none.
This will be helpful for those who don’t have a steady hand, and also for creating illustration doodles, lettering and neater handwriting.

I use a paperlike screen protector, but my handwriting is still jittery and messy. Before Goodnotes, I tried Notability and Zinnia for my daily planning, and the line smoothing features in both apps worked great, especially in Zinnia. I like Goodnotes, but the line smoothing is so important to me I might just go back to Zinnia until the feature makes its way to Goodnotes. Looks like it's been requested for a few years now, which doesn't make me very optimistic that it's coming anytime soon.

Agreed. I have a pretty steady hand and as an artist and designer my hand eye coordination is pretty great, but the sensitivity on GoodNotes is super high compared to other apps and my writing which looks good on actual paper is a mess regardless of which nib and screen protector I use. I can imagine especially for people with disabilities and the elderly whose hands may shake somewhat would find it challenging to write on this app and this feature would make it much more accessible and inclusive to a broader range of people
