Converting handwriting to text
Would be great having a feature that allows you to write stuff with a stylus pen or finger and then, if wanted, convert it to text.

+1 for MyScript Memo integration. Could even be a paid addon like in NotesPlus

Notes Plus has already implemented this feature and a lot of people are switching to it
I never used it but I like the support of GoodNotes
This feature could be an in-app purchase if it is too much work -

Any comments from the developer(s) to the paying customers on when this feature will be implemented?

I love the app for organizing my notes. I am aware of competitors offering this service but I would prefer to have all my notes in the same place. Converting to text would make my notes that much better. Especially considering I can now search them and create full document sin no time! Maybe even exporting to word or another word processor!

Searchable handwriting text like in myscript notes mobile would be Great. I think it would replace all wishes about tags, search, keywords, bookmarks, a.s.o.

@Tom & Alonso Liu:
I agree with you if the handwriting recognition would be implemented in a way that the app tries to recognize handwriting on the fly (i.e. while writing).
BUT:
The performance of the handwriting recognition engine of p.ex. Myscript or Notes plus is good enough if the conversion process is done asynchronous (i.e. only on demand and *after* the whole text has been handwritten). -

The UI of "Goodnotes" and the recognition engine of "Myscript notes mobile" would be fabulous!

Not a good idea IMO. Although Notes Plus for example uses a quite good HW recognition, it's never sufficiently satisfying to be of real use (at least with my HW ;-)

Although I hope it could have this feature, but I won't vote for 2 reasons:
1. we can do it using other apps
2. all the apps I have seen for hand writing conversion are not good enough. Because if I choose to hand writing, it must be hasty and illegible. -

Samsung tabs have the ability to convert hand written text to typed text. Why not for iPads?

I want to buy it
But it cannot type or convert into text
So it is a little bit too disappointing -

No...I highly recommend this! Compare to text conversion found in Myscript Notes Mobile or free version Memo. This is a must...great text recognition!

It might not be the place for a debate but quite frankly, all character recognition software I've used have been deeply un satisfying and less than reliable. I feel there are more important features to work on for this team than this one. My not so humble opinion.
