Customizable Floating Quick tools bar
A floating tool bar at the bottom left or right of the screen that we can choose any tool color or option toggle switch to it.
This tool bar can either hide or show using the same gesture as pulling the dock out.

We’re excited to share that in our latest update (September 2025), you can now place the floating toolbar anywhere on the screen: top, bottom, left, or right — for a more personalized and flexible workspace.

Great idea - changing between tools quickly is hard in the product right now. I always have to pause to check. Unfortunately the double tap on the pencil can be activated easily and it sometimes isn’t clear before I accidentally erase something.

I think this is a great idea. It's THE biggest reason why I keep switching to apple Notes app from time to time.

Yes! And option to auto-minimize the floating icon once we start editing/writing on the page and to move the floating icon around.
