Change default text color
I have trouble changing the color of text. Usually I have to write the text in black, highlight, and then change to whatever color I want. Sometimes I need to repeat this 3 or 4 times to get the color to change. Sometimes it doesn’t work at all. Perhaps its a bug, but it would be great if you could change the default color of text and didn’t have to repeat this process every time.

i agree😭 I use the text tool many times on Mac, but the color keeps reverting to black. Even though I created my own preset and removed black from it, it still reverts to black.🙄🙄🙄 If the text tool could default to the first color in the preset like pen tool, it would be much more convenient.

Agreed I often use the text boxes for note taking and I like using colors that aren't already a preset. I type everything in black but when I change the text color of specific terms, it changes the whole color of the text box which then I have to go back and make it black again. It would be tedious to make a separate text box just to change the color and being able to make your own text color presets would be much easier. I don't want to have to keep putting the hex code for the color I want. At least it should have a separate bar of colors you used recently.

As of Dec 2020, there is a set as default option if you click the text icon.

I’m having a similar issue with the default text color. There are 3 options on the tool bar, but when I start to type with text it always reverts to the same blue color. Whether I change the color before or after I tap the screen to begin typing, it most of the time reverts to blue. SOMETIMES it will be the color I choose, but there doesn’t seem to be a rhyme or reason to when that happens.
