Scrolling vertically and horizontally
It would be ingenious if you could generally scroll vertically in a document, but horizontally in parts (for example with an inserted PDF file), so that the PDF appears as a unit.
This would make the overview much easier and would be a unique selling point.

We considered that but found that it introduces a lot of complexity and is hard to understand for most users. You can quickly change the scrolling direction in the … menu in an open document.

I have a similar request in that I'd like to be able to add pages arbitrarily in any direction (well, keeping it 2-dimensional, above, below, left, or right. Basically, if done correctly, the user should be able to create a "document" with a physical layout similar to a crossword puzzle. If implemented properly, it shouldn't be difficult for most users to understand.
Thank you for considering this new feature request!
