Search for Exact Phrase
Please enable search for exact phrase within quotation marks. Right now the engine searches for words separately. When the search phrase contains some common words like “the”, “of”, “a” etc. a pile of irrelevant search results would come out.

Excact search terms e.g. „exactly this“ instead of „excactly“ and „ this“ is an absolute must. How are you going to search dates? Or at least make symbols part of the search terms. For now it seems like search is just ignoring any symbol. 31.12.2024 is just „31“, „12“ and „2024“. Absolutely silly.

I totally agree, and korean language version also needs to be changed.
When I try to search word more than 3 letters in korean like "무지개", results come out with the words that include each letter "무“, ”지“, ”개“ which is totally not what I intended to do.
It has to be changed that if I search "무지개”, only the word that includes all the letters "무지개“ should be shown.한국 분이 계시다면..
3글자 이상 단어를 검색하면 각 글자에 해당하는 모든 단어가 나옵니다. 무지개를 검색하면 무형. 지적. 개입 등등 다요... 무지개를 검색하면 무지개라는 정확한 단어가 있는 케이스만 나오도록 제~발 바꿔주시길 부탁드립니다. -

I use GoodNotes to review and annotate large pdfs and I love it. However, the search function is basically useless to me as it always returns numerous unrelated results even though I know the exact section name. Please add this feature...

This should have been incorporated from day 1, and it represents Goodnotes' greatest weakness. Unfortunately, the search feature is something I have to use hundreds of times a day. This has cost me untold hours over a period of months. PLEASE fix.
I'm in medical school. When I search my notes for the phrase "H Antigen" (which appears just once in the document) goodnotes returns 133 results for Antigen, and not even in order of relevance. The result I needed was around the 100th result.

As a long-time user of GoodNotes, I now read large books in pdf form on GoodNotes. Being able to search for an exact phrase has become critical. Please add

More powerful search will really make this software an excellent research and analysis too. Exact phase search, Boolean search, progressive search, and smart search would be great adds for professionals. Another attractive feature would be better control over the scope of a search (e.g., paragraph, page, document, folder, entire library)>).

Agree! This feature is very much needed.

It makes it extremely difficult to find a phrase within a 300+ page document when you can't search for an exact phrase. An ability to be able to add quotation marks when you want to find an exact phrase as opposed to all the individual words you have typed.

I came here hoping to learn how to search for an exact word or phrase. No joy.

THIS RIGHT HERE. I keep having to GO BACK to version 4 SOLELY BECAUSE version 4 already does this.
I can't search defined terms (like "Loan") or section numbers (like Section 10.01), without it returning numerous unhelpful results (like returning each instance of ", Loan, "; or each instance of Section, 10, 01).
I'm an attorney and have to search through hundreds of pages for defined terms in quotation marks, and the new app is useless to me because it doesn't have this function.
