Color Search
I think it would be an awesome idea to implement a color search! I often use different colors to represent different elements in my notes. For example, I use blue to write new equations or formulas and yellow to write important terminology. It would be so useful to be able to search for words by the color they are written in! Of course, it’s probably a difficult thing to accomplish (what with the ability for users to choose their color from the wheel), but I think if we were allowed to search for our presets, that might help fix that!

I agree. This would laso work with something like searching fro a specific highlight colour

I was about to create a new thread asking this same thing, but instead I’ll bump yours! I also use pen colors rather than just highlights. I like to use one specific color for my “tags/buzzwords” so I can quickly search for them. It would be awesome to search by word + color instead so I don’t have to search through every single instance of the word- rather just the intended definition of it.
For example, being able to create a “dictionary” so to speak for each individual journal (with still the ability to search across ALL JOURNALS) would be awesome, and could be an advanced version of this as a feature. That way within my journals, I can use ONE pen color to create a sort of appendix. Then, I could search a word + pen color to bring me right to my intended page. This would make it useful if you’re using a lot of common words within your notes otherwise.
I’m a compsci major, so being able to search “OSI Model” and get a definition I wrote out, versus EVERY time I wrote that out, would be extremely valuable.
TLDR: ability to search by pen color only (everything I wrote in green), AND be able search a word AND pen color (search “this word” but only when it was written in green). If custom colors are too difficult, restrict the feature to preset colors only. Please 🙏🙏
