Fewer rows of tools
Goodnotes uses two rows of tools, which is takes up too much screen real estate, especially in landscape mode. This means I cannot use Goodnotes for teaching, which is what I got it for. (It's a shame, because Goodnotes is otherwise well suited for teaching.) It would be great if you could compact to a single row of tools (or even zero), to get more writing area.

Thanks for the feedback. Would you mind sharing why GoodNotes can not be used for teaching because it is two rows of tools?

GoodNotes 6 is even worse now. They did the opposite and made it bigger!

I would also like if the two row toolbar is made compact and occupy less space. That would help

I also agree that finding a way to minimize the tool bar in the landscape position will allow for greater screen real estate. It would allow the user to control what is shown on the screen and will look cleaner to everyone. In teaching, it will also allow the user to more closely simulate a whiteboard.

I also would prefer a single tiny compact toolbar, just like in Photoshop, to have less distraction. I would be d'accord if this affects only the landscape mode, because there is honestly enough horizontal space to shrink that. Maybe a customizable toolbar could be another solution (add more optional color shortcuts, remove unused pens etc.).

I also feel 1 row is sufficiently good, why have 2 bars. 1 bar is also empty, with tabs it becomes 3 bars reducing screen real estate

In landscape mode, each row of tools costs you a lot of your screen. Two rows is just too much screen to give up.
