Option to exclude folders from iCloud sync
Goodnotes 5 syncs all documents to the iCloud. It would be great if the user good choose not to sync certain files and folders.
Thank you very much!

This is so necessary. If the option to exclude folders from automatic pdf backup to Google drive exists, then the same should also exist for iCloud sync. I hate apple subscriptions and don’t want to purchase iCloud simply to share one goodnote with a friend to collaborate.

University courses are huge, so it would be nice to just sync the current classes and let the rest remain on my Mac getting backup by Time Machine.

One can not share/collaborate on documents unless sync is active. For me that would mean to rent additional icloud space to sync approx 12GB of notes, that I don’t need synced, just to collaborate on some notes with my students.
We need either an option to exclude files/folders from sync or to allow sync for shared files only. Urgently!
Also some companies/schools/universities prohibit export of files to 3rd party clouds.
As it stands now I have to turn of sync completely & can not share/ collaborate at all or sync personal/unrelated notes without violating university regulations in the process. -

This is necessary for ALL institutional users in the European Union who are forced by the DSGVO to exclude storage locations under the CloudAct, e.g. schools and universities.

This would be great! Thus, only the texts needed for a certain project could be synced to the ipad, for example, saving space on the device while keeping everything in one place, on the MacBook.
