Zoom out more
The zoom out is very limited. I'd want to zoom out to see more into the pages above and below.

Exactly... why are these simple changes not implemented yet? i have to add a bigger page at the end of all my PDFs and slides just so i can zoom out more, there is literally no downside to being able to do this.

Other applications (e.g., Notability, Preview, etc.) allow for no limit on the Zoom out – I would also like to zoom out more to have a better visualization of slides above/below.

This is my biggest issue with GN so far. I also have the 12.9” iPad that I mostly use for digital art because it’s easier on my carpal tunnel. Not being able to freely drag/rotate/zoom notebook pages (like in Procreate) actually makes writing in this app really uncomfortable. I like the other features, but not sure how long I’ll be able to comfortably use the app.

This would be incredibly helpful for me as a left-handed person so that I can move the edge of the page to the middle of my ipad screen. This way my hand can rest on the flat surface of the ipad instead of hanging off the edge.

I'm a long time GoodNotes user and the unability to zoom further out than the page size bothers me.
Sometimes you need an overview and now it's not possible.

Hello, I really would like to have this feature too.. GoodNotes has by far the best drawing/writing experience in comparison to the other tools I tried, the only thing that is missing is zoom + infinite canvas. I am a developer, and I am using canvas tools for drawing in workshops and meetings. I really need to have more place on one page and the possibility of zooming out/in and drawing in the zoomed areas. Without this I am forced to use OneNote, which has a buggy drawing/shaping/writing experience.

Yes I want this feature. It's easy to find my slides when I can see everything at once

We need this basic feature… who thought this wouldn’t be needed. I want to zoom as much as I am happy to!

Hello, I need this feature as well. I am using goodnotes for viewing powerpoint presentations in the pdf format for studying. The problem is that the zoom level is always on 100%, if I zoom out for a better overview it sets me immediately back to the 100%. Only trick is to add a A3 page in the beginning, this zooms out the whole pdf file. For me it is important to grasp a better overview and also to associate the slides before and after with the one I read at the moment. I hope it is understandable what I mean.

Seconded. On my 12.9” ipad the minimum zoom level is about 100% which is really hard to read! My eyes have to scan across a very large horizontal distance. I wish I could zoom the documents to, say, 50%, and also position them a bit further left or right rather than always being perfectly in the middle which can be uncomfortable for writing (this applies when zoomed in as well, I really wish I could move the page a little past where the edge of the page is, and perhaps even write in that margin. As it stands it is super difficult to read and write a document which has large text and no margins - my eye’s have to scan all the way across the ipad screen and there’s nowhere to write. I wish I could zoom out, move the page left/right, and perhaps scribble onto the margins)

I want to empathize that it’s zooming feature would be so helpful for a left-handed person like i am. i often have the problem to write starting words at a slide, because my hand can’t rest on anything. It’s so uncomfortable. I also want to add that it would be cool to zoom that far out, to have an overview on the slides. Not just the small overview when you are in the page-selection tab.

Hope there’s a snap mode that when zooming in back, the page occupies full extent horizontally. Goodnotes is so sensitive to the point that whatever zoom percentage you like it will follow and likely change your writing words heights many times if I wont be using outlines. I just want a setting or a feature that when you zoom there’s no space unoccupied by the page to the left and to the right. This is an advantage too if I’m gonna use this app for presentations that people may see a consistent height of words. Please take note that this is not a full page view.

Please implement this feature. This is incredibly useful especially when having a horizontal document such as pdf slides from lectures. This held me from using GoodNotes as my main app as I have to use Notability for this

It's so much more practical to be able to zoom out so I can view 2+ notes or pdf pages at the same time or to see the whole page for a better overview so I can get the 'bigger picture'. This is a function I'm quite used to that most applications have like notability, illustrator artboards etc. and need for research, reading, referring to the previous page or notes.

Similarly, I’d appreciate the ability to zoom at various angles, often to facilitate easier annotations of complex diagrams. I don’t always want to hold my iPad perfectly horizontally to write comfortably. The zoom gestures in procreate provide an exemplar to imitate.
The workaround I currently use for the submitted request is to create a custom template that displays a page with added “margin” space. So at 100% zoom, my page appears closer to 80%. This allows a bit more maneuvering to zoom in and out to work comfortably with a 12” iPad.

This is a good idea as sometimes the text in PDF are too huge, I’d want to zoom out beyond 100% to help me visualise text better.

Here are two pictures that exemplify some ways I would like to be able to move my paper without it automatically zooming back into the page

It’s not really “situational” per se, just at any moment I would like to freely zoom out to see an entire page or even the entire document. To go back to 100%, maybe we could double tap the screen with one finger

I would like to be able to zoom out of a page without the page automatically zooming back to 100%. I like to zoom out and have a full view of my page since I’m using an 11” IPad often in portrait mode, notability and OneNote both allow me to zoom the document as I please, would love the feature in goodnotes
