api
Open the API to users and external service providers. For instance it would be amazing if I could write a program that automatically syncs a specific folder in goodnotes with Notion (they have a open API)

Yes, I think that would be the best thing to do. Would you also like to use a chat API on the website for a deeper integration of discussions and better communication with users? If you feel you need to spend a lot of time on chat moderation, I found an article https://sceyt.com/blog/what-is-chat-moderation for you that, hopefully, will make this process easier.

If GoodNotes supported API access they would make a huge step towards having the community enable an ecosystem of third party products, and at the same time resolve a bunch of the issues within this feedback forum, such as extracting OCR text, filing notes based on content and performing backups.
I would like to be able to scan notes for tags and then link from a TODO app into my notes - allowing links between the apps that are better able to handle todo management and GoodNotes which is much better able to store the background story that led to the action/todo in the first place.
