I'm pushing this as well, this would literally change my whole world once Goodnotes actually implements this system into text

It would be incredibly helpful not just in the "whole page text doc" feature, but also in individual text boxes too!!! PLEASE GOODNOTES PLEASE!!!!

Truly an essential and basic feature. This is a large reason why GoodNotes isn’t a main note taking app for me.

When I type in a text box, I often want to create a list with multiple subheadings using bullet points. But no matter what I try, it is not possible to indent bulletpoints and create different levels in a list (if you know what I mean).

This means I always have to align my bulletpoints myself, using a hyphen and the tab key.

This can be very annoying, especially when I’m trying to take notes in lectures. I’ve considered switching to another note-taking app because this is such an essential function in note-taking. I’m not alone in this; many of my fellow students using goodnotes share the same opinion.

Fixing this bug would be a life-saver!

MyScript Notes (formerly Nebo) has incredible support for structured, indented notes, both handwritten and typed. I’d like to see the same or better in Goodnotes!

Bulletpoint lists with smaller bulletpoint for better structure

Bulletpoints after linebreak are not on the same depth as bulletpoint, instead same as normal text. Making it look weird

Please add indentations for bullet points. This would be helpful for note taking

nested lists should be a basic feature. i don't understand why we still don't have this

It would be helpful, especially when taking notes, to be able to make different levels of bullet points, not just one level as is currently available.

I suggest that the textbox should contain both vertical (like this • ) and sub-dots (like this – ) for example

Found myself wanting this feature quite a lot when annotating lecture notes and textbooks. Would be a gamechangeer to have multi-level bulleted and numbered lists. Hope this gets picked up by developers soon!

it's insane to me that you can't indent the bullets. this is a standard feature on almost every single app with a typing capability. seems so simple and like a complete oversight. this is like one of the main things holding me back from using Goodnotes for all of my notes because it is completely impossible to take good notes while typing and only have 1 level of bullets

I would just like the overall typing document setting improved to be more similar to google docs. I am thinking it could be an option to select when selecting to create a notebook, folder, or flashcards, etc. The reason this would be useful is because I prefer to have all of my course notes in one place, but currently my notes are split half in half between goodnotes (for my courses in which writing is necessary) and google docs (for my courses in which I really need to be able to type a document for my notes. Having to add a textbox the whole time can be frustrating, and it does not remember font style, size or any other inputs. In addition, expanding the bullet point function would be helpful. Currently you can only do one bullet point, but if it could be altered to be more like google docs where if you click tab it allows "sub" bullet points it would be very useful. Overall, I think adding a more useful typed notes function would improve the use of the app, as you could use it for any class not just the ones that you need to write out notes.

This would save me sooooo much time and make things so much more organized.

Additionally it would be amazing to have the opportunity to define our own symbols for lists. The big dots are destroying every aesthetics in my notes :-)

Within the writing/drawing section!!! It already exists in the keyboard feature but it really really needs to be available for text boxes in the pen feature too.

PLEASE I will stop using onenotes completely and only use goodnotes from now on on god if they have this feature

I’ve been using Goodnotes and really appreciate many of its features. However, I was quite surprised to find that, even in 2025, the app still doesn’t support multilevel bullet or numbering styles (such as 1. → a. → i., etc.), especially considering that this is something even free apps like Google Docs offer..................... Please I need it ASAP

The current bullet styles are a bit garish and oversized. Need to be able to define style for each hierarchy.
