Dashed Lines, Dashed Shapes, Dashed Arrows
Dashed lines
It would be so useful to add the dashed line tool for writing and geometric mode!
For mathematic, physics and scientific note it is essential having a tool like this!
Thanks
Hello, the option to create dashed lines, shapes, and arrows is already available in the app.
1) To create a dashed line:
Go to Writing Tools → Pen → Stroke Settings, then choose Dashed or Dotted. You can also adjust the pen thickness to control the density of the dashes. See the screen attached.
2) To create dashed shapes:
Go to Shapes → Stroke Settings in the floating menu. As in the first step, you can customize the style and density there.
You can also create a shape in the default style and then make it dashed. To do this, create a shape, open the Object Menu, select Stroke Settings, and customize the style. The same applies to shapes created with AutoShape.
3) To create a dashed arrow:
You can either select a dashed style directly in the Shapes menu, or create an arrow first and then customize its style in the Object Menu.
Let us know if that works for you!

Can we add a feature for dotted lines. For example I draw a line then lasso it and select dotted.

Dashed and dotted and arrows on both ends will be much better

A dashed lines will be so helpful, I feel like this is the only thing that i'm missing in this app.
I attached a sample from Notability for reference. -

I would love to be able to change the density of dashes and dots on the dashed and dotted line function

I need an arrow as a quick arrow feature.

I asked Goodnotes to add the function of drawing dashed lines, trust me, it is very useful when doing geometry problems with GoodNotes or writing related notes, thank you!

Dashed lines and curves would be great. I often find myself needing to draw a dashed line in graphs, or in hidden sides of 3d shapes. It’s a must in a note taking app. The implementation of this feature shouldn’t be a challenge for any programmer, especially as it’s already exists in Goodnotes 5 code. For example, the dashed curved in the Lasso tool, or the way Goodnotes 5 draws shapes. If you use Standard Eraser to erase alternating sub curves, you are left with a dashed curve, except now it’s not functioning as a curve and you can’t edit it. All there is to do is to make sure the curve starts and ends with a dash and not a space, which is just a few lines of code.
Thank you! -

Add a dashed line feature

Please insert a doted line like in notability. And the eraser that transforms a normal line into a doted line. That would help a lot.

Including dashed lines would make it easier for me to draw different faster

1Can you get the pen for draw a Dashed line Because I think its hardly to draw and delete point by point .
2 I want eraser can change size . I think The smallest eraser has little big for me. -

We need arrowhead and adjustable tranparent pen not to blind the letters.

It is strongly recommended to increase the dotted line function. My colleagues and I need this feature too much.

Notability has arrows and dotted lines now

I am surprised at the fact that the pencil/ charcoal option is still not here. So many people are asking for this in many other posts and all of the heads apps for note taking have it. This is a strange way to differentiate as this seems to be a conscious decision

Yes arrows please! It is very important for those who study science and engineering.

I just want to have some stock squares, circles and triangles (and probably arrows too) that I can add and then resize. The shape recognition stuff always gives me 'wonky' shapes that are a bit skewed and at some odd angle. Please, please, please can we have this

When using „Auto Shape Tool“ it would be helpful to chose between regular full lines and dashed lines.
