Checklists and text formatting
For handwritten notes, there's nothing better. But at the moment, the app is geared too heavily towards the iPad, rather than cross-platform.
I picked up my phone to type a quite to-do list this morning, (to keep everything in one place, rather than using the Apple Notes app), and the text was tiny. Creating a bulleted list was more difficult than it should've been. There was no option to properly format a bullet point list/add indents. And no checklist feature, to add tickable to-dos when you're using a keyboard (rather than an Apple pencil).
Cross-compatibility for this kind of thing is super important, as I like to be able to keep my thoughts/notes in one place.
If I can't take quick notes/capture my thoughts just as easily on an iPhone, or on my laptop, then having a basic digital "handwritten notebook" is immediately less useful.
Please add:
- More support for typing into Goodnotes
- More support for rich text formats (e.g. bullet point indents)
- Checklist functionality, with tickable and sortable to-dos (options to strikethrough or grey out or move to the bottom a "complete" to do)
- Better text customisation options for your keyboard input (at the moment you can only properly format a text box added in the handwritten input section: changing the font/size etc. Your keyboard input is limited to presets (heading, paragraph etc.)
