"POST-IT TABS"
One of the major issues in relation to using a digital file, compared to a traditional paper file is that in a paper file you can attach "post-its" to relevant pages which you can then refer to when you are using that file. This is an essential tool for lawyers, for example. So that, if you are referring to a bundle of files, you can have them in front of you where you can see the protruding tabs and refer to them immediately. The visualisation of the tabs – allows for easy access to the relevant page.
Whilst good notes allows you to tab pages – obviously – there are physical differences between hard paper and electronic paper.
However, would it be possible for good notes to try and emulate this by doing the following:
- You have the option of attaching a coloured side tab to the relevant pages;
- You then have the option of "see side tabs"
- When you press that option, the tabbed pages, with their tabs, all shrink slightly and move to the left – allowing you to see the tabs. Then, you can press the tab which opens the page – similar to how this would work in hardcopy.
I attach a photograph by way of example.
Perhaps, something like this could be considered.
Many thanks for taking the time to consider this idea.
Kind regards,
Asim

Post-Its are always a nice and useful addition. They're also visually pleasing. I'd really enjoy having and using them. Notability already has them. Please add them soon.

Can't wait for this to be implemented :)
Hopefully both movable permanently-visible sticky notes as well as "pop-up" comment type notes will be added! -

Any idea about the disponibility of these sticky notes ? I'm waiting for it since a so long time. By the way, add the possibility to record and manage voice from a note could be great also.

I have only been using the product for 5 minutes, and this was the feature that was immediately missing for me. I am using the app to study with and having the outline of what I am looking for when reading would be so very useful.

Most other note / pdf apps have this feature. It's a workhorse feature. i'm really surprised Goodnotes still doesn't have it, unless it's incorporated in some other way that i don't know about..

And has the ability to be minimized in a small tiny box so once pressed it pops out to a full form sticky note / post it note

And change its position ,the size of the post it note and so on.

A sticky note option. It could be in a normal sticky note resembling real life post it. And the ability to be minimized, once you press it, it enlarges to real life post it note. And you have the options to change its color the text's color , the ability to hand write on it. This app is amazing but needs some extra features to support.

It would be nice to have labels and stickers as well, similar to what is in Noteledge app. When you are planning a trip or creating a Travel log, stickers and labels will make if more colorful and fun. Another feature that is in Noteledge app is inserting or recording a video. Also they have in-app browser where you can search for pictures and crop out sections you want and place it in the app which is very cool.

I like this idea but also add the ability to have handwritten sticky notes, not just text written.
I would prefer that the sticky note appears at the place where you place it rather than at the end with a page reference. I don't want to keep shuttling back and forward, or require my colleagues to whom I have sent the exported pdf to do so!
GoodReader manages it and Adobe reader (or Pro) can read them. So unless, you're doing something drastically and significantly different here in the annotations layer, PLEASE can we have the same?!

I understand that this may complicate the export process. I suppose one way of tackling it is adding a page at the end of the document that contains a formatted list of the sticky notes with corresponding page numbers. That way the document can still be exported properly (with or without sticky notes option?).

Often the pdf documents have ~1" margins and there have been paragraphs that I would either like to add my own commentary, create a small sketch of an idea, or note an idea related to the material. The margins aren't big enough to fit, but adding a whole blank notes page is too large (I use an iPad Pro).
I request a feature for having a color indicated "sticky note" that fits on either side of the margins and can be placed anywhere alongside it. Tap the little box, and the expanded note comes into view with various options for text, changing note color etc...
Truth be told, the text zoom feature interface that is already in place would work fantastic for this sticky notes feature.

You could add a text box with a colored background, and you can move those around wherever you want.

I agree completely with this. I downloaded this in the hopes that at some point I might be able to use it to annotate and review the academic journal articles that I have to read, which are often so crowded that there's not much room to handwrite notes in the margin. An option for a sticky - by which I mean something similar to the sticky note function in Adobe Reader, which adds an icon that, when you click on it, opens up a separate box with room for extra notes (and if they could be handwritten, or handwriting-to-text, that would be a dream) - would increase the functionality of this app drastically for me.
At any rate, kudos to you guys. I like your app for what it is, and plan on using it to take notes during lectures and such. But there's a pretty huge section of my work that I really can't use your app for; none of the work-arounds I've come up with are as convenient or as useful as the sticky note feature in the little freeware app I've been using. Hope you guys get around to this soon. Best wishes.
