"POST-IT TABS"
One of the major issues in relation to using a digital file, compared to a traditional paper file is that in a paper file you can attach "post-its" to relevant pages which you can then refer to when you are using that file. This is an essential tool for lawyers, for example. So that, if you are referring to a bundle of files, you can have them in front of you where you can see the protruding tabs and refer to them immediately. The visualisation of the tabs – allows for easy access to the relevant page.
Whilst good notes allows you to tab pages – obviously – there are physical differences between hard paper and electronic paper.
However, would it be possible for good notes to try and emulate this by doing the following:
- You have the option of attaching a coloured side tab to the relevant pages;
- You then have the option of "see side tabs"
- When you press that option, the tabbed pages, with their tabs, all shrink slightly and move to the left – allowing you to see the tabs. Then, you can press the tab which opens the page – similar to how this would work in hardcopy.
I attach a photograph by way of example.
Perhaps, something like this could be considered.
Many thanks for taking the time to consider this idea.
Kind regards,
Asim

I love this idea! I used to insert my own sticky notes after making them in procreate, but it literally just takes too long to crop them, if I’m writing in class or something.
This is a feature that would REALLY stand out in the game, bc no one else is doing this!!Especially with the collapsible stickies!! And even an ability to track added stickies to the document along the document viewer next to favorited slides, outlines!

I agree with the sticky notes feature. It’s definitely a feature that would improve the quality of GoodNotes and make it more preferable than any other note taking apps

Hi, I use good notes since a week. I loooove this app, but I suggest you to add the option to insert post-it in notes. For example, if I have to import a book to the app to read it but i have no space to take notes, I would like to put one on a page to write. I hope u understand me, I'm not too good in English. Anyhow, thank you for making my study so efficient and funny!
P.S. I'm a future designer -

As a student it would be really useful to have this sticky note feature.
A general trend I see in university learning is that professor's often release their powerpoints as PDF files. Students will then download these PDF's to take notes directly on them. However, depending on the professor for a variety of reasons there may be little to no space to take these notes. This means either the notes have to be covering the diagram/text or written extremely small in the margins of the PDF.
A moveable and or closeable sticky note would help students write comfortably in the margins without covering the orginal notes.
I also commented this on another post for post-its just because I would really like to see this in the next update.
Thank you!

I noticed that Wilson also commented this, but because there's no way to upvote his comment I wanted to write an additional one.
Thank you!

Hi. Excellent 💡 idea BUT must have the handwritten sticky notes rather than just text written stickies. Digital handwriting is key to really succeed this feature. AGAIN: Excellent idea 💡!!!

It would be amazing to have a small window that opens as a notepad when you open a pdf file in goodnotes. The window should be movable around the screen to give access to a full-size pdf. This feature can be found in the app flexcil.

It’s a feature that users can put a button like a small post-it wherever they want on their page so they can just click it to open the pop-ups and the can write on do things on there.

Hello, I've been using goodnotes for my school for a long time now and it has been working perfectly ! I'm messaging you because I have a useful suggestion for an improvement for school hardcore note takers.
Being able to add a 'sticker'/'footnote' on a page would be very useful. Stickers which we can make notes to certain notes that are not too important on a main note or different purposes. The stickers are able to be folded and unfolded on a any page by clicking. and able to adjust the size of the sticker would be very nice too.I usually take notes on PDF slides that professors provide to us and sometimes the slide doesnt have enough space for me to keep my notes, so I usually make a page after the note to continue my notetaking. However if the 'sticker' is available I would just have to write notes on a sticker and fold it when I'm done. Which I could also unfold it if I review the slide after a while. I feel like it really saves up a lot of space and helps us to make notes with consistency.
also when professors gives out problem exercises in a single pdf slide cramped all the questions in. I could also use 'stickers' on the pdf so that I dont have to write it in a new page.
I hope this could be added and thank you so much for your time.
