Critical problem: User copy and paste large amount of text into Goodnotes 6 app resulting in data loss
After I copied 1,409 words from Bear iPadOS app and pasted into Goodnotes 6 iPadOS app, only some text are pasted. Most of it are truncated (data loss) as the pasted text only stops at the first page (current page). The Goodnotes 6 app failed to auto create new pages to cater to the pasted text. This is not a problem for all note taking apps in the iPad App Store.

This is a CRITICAL limitation for this app. It is a feature nearly ubiquitous in other note apps. I assume Goodnotes probably can’t differentiate between an image and text, so it doesn’t automatically create overflow pages that capture text beyond the first page. I love Goodnotes, but not having the ability to easily paste large amounts of text is really a problem.
The instructions in the user guide tell a user to copy smaller amounts of text, and essentially paste smaller bits of text on each additional page. Of course this can only be done after creating those pages, and trying to guess how much text can fit a page without going over. Then you get to copy and paste multiple times in hopes of successfully making it appear seamless in Goodnotes. Additionally, text pasted on a lined page, doesn’t adjust size and formatting to fit the lines of the page. This is also a little annoying.
I LOVE the app, but please, please fix this issue.
Thank you! 👍🏼

I also really find this annoying. They should add this asap as this is just user unfriendly
