Set template for file names when exporting files via drag and drop
I use GoodNotes 6 to grade student papers just about anywhere and then export the graded pages to a shared Google drive folder per student via the iPadOS files app using a drag and drop motion from GoodNotes to the target folder. It’s very seamless and efficient!…
…However, the file that’s created in each student folder is named simply as the page number from the GoodNotes notebook from which it came. For example, if I drop and drop page 15 of 32 from a file called “Unit Test A” into a student folder the file in the Google drive destination is simply named “15.pdf”
A page number alone doesn’t provide enough context as to the files content. I am hopeful that we can get the active file name in use added as the root file name with the option of including the page number as a part of the file. In short the default file name (using the example from above) would be “Unit Test A.pdf” with the selectable option (in app settings) of including the page number(s) resulting in “Unit Test A pg 15.pdf” as the file name.
