Re add manual sorting of documents in goodnotes 4.0
Goodnotes 3 one could manually sort the notes, please add the function again as name and date is not enough, at university I sometimes upload allot of docs at a time and need to re order them!!

Not being able to reorganize bookshelf significantly reduces the value of goodnotes. This is a feature that absolutely needs to be reintroduced. Goodnote is actually not a real option without this feature and I would need to look after other products.

I strongly agree. I've been using GoodNotes for maybe 3-4 years I guess and LOVED it. As a medical resident, I'm using a LOT of papers (>200 in version 3.0) and I enjoyed the app up to now. My vauching for GoodNote convinced a lot of my collegues to buy it !! Now I'm disappointed as a lot stated, I've continue using version 3.0 since I did'nt like the upgrade mainly because of the impossibility to customize the order of the files and because when I uploaded all my files to 4.0, my preciously arranged files were all mixed up !! At least we should be able to order them by date but last files first and not the opposite...
PLEASE FIX THIS !

In the 3.0 version, you could see the miniatures ef the current document, the marked ones, and the list of the
Pages viewed previously. This last option, allowed us to navigate through different documents in a very easy way. Coul this option be recovered In the 4.0 next update? -

provide sort by date created or by date edited. Would help me a lot

My vote goes primarily to a custom order in the main screen. Tap Edit, and allow us to move the books around.
As much as many seem to love the old bookshelf, it would be totally out of place in the iOS8 flat style. So I don't support that part of this request. -

The function is absolutely vital for teachers. I have a lot of text books and my students' home assignments and will be absolutely lost without being able to sort them my way. Will continue using goodnotes 3 for this reason (been using it for a couple of years now and was absolutely happy with it if it wasn't for ios8)

On this subject I got this from GoodNotes :- Unfortunately, custom sorting was removed to make it compatible with the standard iCloud document storage practice, like Apple iWorks. This will prepare for the upcoming Mac client.
Couldn't we opt out of that in order to retain the flexibility?
Will Mac Client work differently? -

Yes yes yes. I have delayed using this version because of this issue, but now am forced to use it due to ios8. Please make this change! I want more control over how I organize my documents.

I couldn't agree more. The old version was wonderful and I've had to stop using it as the iOS update has stopped some things working. Being able to reorganise the bookshelf is absolutely vital for me. I love the old look - please can you give us an updated version 3.

I fully agree with this comment. I purchased version 4, but I also was disappointed. I love and still use Goodnotes 3 for scientific work. I would like to have an update for it.

And, I have the same issues with you too. I'm forced to upgrade to 4.0 as Goodnotes 3 has compatibility issues with iOS 8. Goodnotes 3 is so much better - it connects to my jot script automatically and the Palm rejection serves way better than Goodnotes 4. Developers please do something about all these issues! I felt that this is a downgrade instead.

I purchased this app because I loved Goodnotes 3 and used it extensively for study. I purchased version 4 thinking it only had to be better. I was really disappointed. Although there are some very nice features (handwriting recognition, etc.), some of the basic functionality of the original is gone.
Currently, in version 3, I have 20 documents in one folder, which I use constantly. /they are sorted in order of importance, and I can find them immediately. Version 4, however, doesn't allow this kind of organization, and the icons are so large, I have to page through the bookshelf to find a document.
This seemingly small thing makes the app frustrating to use, since as an instructor, I constantly switch from one document to another (current assignment to guidebook, to current schedule, and back again. The limited sort feature of the bookshelf makes this cumbersome in version 4, so I still use version 3 and check your version 4 updates constantly to see if you've changed this.
In addition, the palm rejection panel of version 3 still allows me to read the underlying text. In version 4, this is virtually impossible because the text is too light. Actually, the palm rejection panel is too light and blends in with the underlying text.
This is a result of the 'new' blah look, which I dislike immensely. I find it difficult to see. Bright colors are easier. I have to admit though, that EVERYONE has jumped on that band wagon, so that part isn't your fault.
Nevertheless, due to the above items, I still use version 3 and can't recommend Goodnotes 4 to others. I've used other, more sophisticated apps, but even version 3 outshines them in my opinion. It is simple and intuitive. If you would only fix the bookshelf so that we could choose between the old and the new interface, I would start using version 4 in a minute.
