Ability to sync using Google Drive rather than iCloud. Right now you can only backup to Google Drive. There should be seamless integration with Google Drive (similar to PDF Expert.)

ADD GOOGLE DRIVE SYNC — Does GoodNotes have an exclusive contract with Apple iCloud?
… Because every other app offers Google Drive sync, so why not GoodNotes?

Thanks

This would make Goodnotes more flexible and fit into a wider variety of workflows. I'm not an iCloud subscriber and use Google Drive instead.

Please implement this as to be used across devices (ipad, mac, and android phone/device) as it really would help with the workflow as many heavily depend on Google Drive now and it's very accessible.
Currently, I only can access the Good Notes on the iPad, and without iCloud, which is an additional cost just so to access Goodnotes, is really a bummer - especially so after having to invest on the app.

Thanks for mentioning this! This is much needed and would really help a lot. I don't know what they have against Google Drive.

2015 …seriously ! … Goodnotes just adds the link to “ sync via iCloud is available ..chill out “ to the feedback when we are specifically asking gDrive .
GDrive sync is a must . It’s the only app i use that dosnt sync with google !
Pretty sure no one wants to use icloud by default … it’s full before you even know it exists ….gDrive has more space and is very comfortable to use beyond Mac world !

Wow. Just saw that this original post is over 6 years old! Any progress on this, GoodNotes?

Yes. I don't want my GoodNotes files to sit in their own folder in Google Drive. I want my GoodNote files to live wherever I need them in any of my Google Drive folders.

Huge yes to this!
This would make it so much easier to access and store my files. My iCloud fills up so quickly. I believe this was an option before (I watched many tutorials on how to do it but could never get it to work myself because the functionality was no longer there). It would be so helpful!

I want to be able to open pdf files directly from any location on my Google Drive, both from the "My Drive" as well as from any one of the "Shared Drives", and then store my edits directly. E.g. for quickly annotating files without having to move them back and forth into iCloud. In other words, the organisation of my files is on Google Drive, not on GoodNotes or iCloud.
Thanks!

Yes! This. Maintaining the folder structure of Google Drive is very critical for my work.

Yes please add this! I believe this is a good feature for power users who have a lot of content to back up.
Google Drive and Dropbox are used more widely for cloud storage, and I don't want to have to pay for iCloud storage.

The IT department at my company has many productivity blocking policies, one of which is blocking access to iCloud. But they do support Google Drive. If GoodNotes 5 could do a full sync using Google Drive as well as iCloud, Your app would be perfect.

It should be automatic also!

Check out iAnnotate! This is how the integration/syncing with google drive should work!

Instead of using google drive for backup issue, Cloudbacko home supports Windows as well it can give backup and helps restoring also. Cloudbacko home software is designed for backing up home Windows and Mac desktops and laptops. It can continuously back up your important files and folders to local and cloud storage whenever there is a change in content.
