Alright, so I have been using GoodNotes for like two years now mostly for school and planning my daily chaos and I love it… like, mostly. It is clean, intuitive, not super clunky like some others I have tried. But recently I have been getting a bit frustrated with how syncing works between devices and the way handwriting sometimes goes rogue, especially when I switch between my iPad and Mac. Anyone else having weird lag or missing pages after syncing?

Like, I’ll jot down a full lecture on my iPad in class, head home to review on my Mac, and half my stuff is just gone or oddly formatted. And it’s not like I’m using a bunch of fancy templates or stickers just regular handwritten notes. It’s low-key annoying when you're trying to review material for an exam and can’t find that one diagram you swear you drew.

Also and maybe this is just me but can we PLEASE get better handwriting-to-text conversion? I have semi-messy handwriting (not full-on chicken scratch, I promise), but it gets stuff wrong constantly. Kinda important when you’re trying to copy over a med chart or lab notes. This one time I was working on my care plan and GoodNotes decided that “BP” meant “6P.” Yeah. That was a fun moment.

I also use it for random other stuff like I recently needed nursing assignment help https://nursingassignmenthelpers.co.uk/ (don’t judge, pathophysiology was kicking my butt) and was dumping reference notes from different sources into GoodNotes. Ended up with a chaotic mess of screenshots and scribbles that took forever to organize. Some kind of tagging or smart sorting system would be a game changer.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not jumping ship. I still love using GoodNotes way more than paper (my tote bag is forever grateful). But I’d love to see smoother syncing and maybe a handwriting upgrade, especially for us folks who use this for both school and actual work stuff.

Anyone else feeling this or got workarounds that don’t involve rage-quitting the app?
