Agreed absolutely! This is much more intuitive, and indeed what most other apps do. Particularly with the eraser tool, the present behavior often leads the user to erase unintentionally with a finger without noticing. I guess there can be an option for this in Settings for users which prefer the old convention. I believe this can be implemented quickly, without adding too much new code.
