Consider few tricks to improve fountain pen behavior.
A lot of people would agree that fountain pen in Goodnotes, while still very good, lags behind the competition (Noteshelf, Notability).
I think adding texture or random shading, similar to what you can see in real fountain pens, to the fountain pen stroke will greatly improve its visual. Addition of stub nib effect will also improve writing experience.

Hindi search support
Please add search option for handwritten words in Hindi language.
Add Indian language also in focus as Chinese .

Reduce file size
Reduce notebook file size, because when the notebooks get more and more after time it’s uses a lot of storage.

LEFT Hand orientation for tools at the top
It would be really useful to have the option of of moving the tools at the top in such a way that it works better. Since I write with my left hand, instead of reaching over with my right hand to to the top left corner of the screen to change my pen tools, eraser, etc., I could just reach the top write corner to access my most used tools in an easier way

Move screen as you write
Penultimate has a great feature, similar to GoodNotes’ AutoAdvance, where the screen moves automatically if you’re writing and it stops moving as you stop writing. This was really useful for me as it meant I mainly had to move my hand in one direction- I didn’t need to move it along the page, as the page moved itself. This enabled me to write significantly faster and reduced hand strain. It would be great to see this added into GoodNotes

View 2 pages at once
Viewing 2 pages and be able to edit both on the same page on an iPad. Like how you can view a pdf in acrobat but in a way on good notes so you can edit them both.

Vertical reading, horizontal note taking
Hi, I’m a Uni student and often times have heaps of PDF photocopies to read.
I scroll horizontally to read them as they are often times photocopies of books.
Therefore I don’t want to ‘interrupt’ the flow of the document to insert a blank page to take notes on.
I figured that if you could keep scrolling vertically to read but on each page swipe horizontally to add a page next to it to take notes on it’d be a game changer.
Once you export the file all the horizontal pages would just tuck in behind the vertical one it’s…

Better Texttool with Tables, Bullets and a better textbox function
Dear Good-Notes Team,
I've been using your app in school for more than a year now and I am absolutely excited. But now I bought a keyboard for the iPad to write less with the Apple Pencil and more with the keyboard. So I would love it if you could extend the text-tool and add things like tables, bullets etc. Things that you can find in every other text editing tool. The textbox is also rather suboptimal. I think you can take the textbox function of Adobe XD as a model. There are different types of text (areatext, pointtext, auto-heigthtext.)…14 votes -

As brush pen without the round edges
The brush pen is too rounded and you can’t do proper brush lettering with it. It looks to bubbly.

Option to show flashcard "answer" first
I love the flash card tool. It would be very nice if there was an option to show the "answer"-side first in the learning mode. For example it would be very nice to learn words of a different language in both directions: French - English and English French.

Flash Cards + Spaced Repetition
I know you have a Flash card tool and spaced repetition but only inside of a document. It would be great to have a separate place where you have all your flash cards within the Goodnotes app and it tells you when to study what and you then go to the specific document

window size
For the Mac version of Goodnotes, the application should remember the previous window size and location (even on large external monitors) on each subsequent reopening. This is a standard feature of all "well behaved Mac applications".

Add space under written text
I'm currently taking a math class and the exam reviews don't leave sufficient space underneath the text so I can work out the problem. So it would be really efficient if we could add a white space or whatever is preferred, right below where we need space to write in. I know we could just add a page, but there's usually more than like 8 problems per page that I don't want to waste time writing out separately.

Better fast access pens
Please let the fast access colors for pens also safe the thickness so we don’t have to change both every time we are using two different colors with two thicknesses. PLEASE and thank you!
