Add a page counter
A page counter would be fine. As of now the only way to know where exactly you are on a document is to open the thumbnail feature. If the page number were displayed (maybe as an in/out option) it would save us a good deal of time.
The latest update GoodNotes 5.5 is now available on the App Store. While scrolling through your document, you can now see the current page number and the total number of pages in this document. If you don’t like to see the page numbers, you can disable it in Menu > Settings > Document Editing.

Please make this happen, it would be so good as we are used to this function since Microsoft 2007. Not knowing we are on what page make us feel a little bit loss. Hope to see this common function on such wonderful app. Thanks!

Being able to place the page number in a standard location on each page would be very useful, especially when wanting to refer to your notes by number. For example, there might be options for center-bottom, top-left, etc.

Yes! And this should update as pages are moved. Also, a last edited time stamp (both of these could be displayed in a low-key fashion - like a grayed watermark or something). The usefulness would be substantial, from sorting for review, to finding your most recent notebook edit.
Good Notes is very smart to stay with the metaphorical concept of paged notebooks. But this form's a need to navigate in a more metaphorical way - page numbers.
