Multiple open documents

I often need to go back and forth between multiple documents. Can we have three or four such open documents at once, possibly selecting them from icons on a toolbar, etc?

    I think a gesture for switching between notebooks would do.

    Also having two documents open side by side - or the same document side by side but on different locations would be very useful to me.

    I would also love this feature. It exists in PDF Expert and is really important!
