Fix iCloud Sync
Fixing slow or never ending iCloud Upload. Just a few notes from me get synced to other devices. The most notes are never synced and just get tagged with the Upload arrow.
Hi everyone,
We’re happy to announce that we have finally found a fix for the issues with iCloud. Apple’s engineers confirmed that there was a bug with the GoodNotes folder in their own system.
After updating to version 4.11.11, which is available as an update on the App Store, you should be able to quickly sync all your changes and notebooks across all of your devices again.
We want to take the chance to say sorry again to everyone that was affected by the problems. Thank you so much for staying with us during these hard times!
In case you should experience any trouble with iCloud after updating to the latest version, please contact our support.

Please can we resolve this for GoodNotes version 6? I have a school full of both students and teachers who are struggling with iCloud sync and your support desk takes a week to respond and tells us "upgrade to the latest version", "it's a temporary issue, try connecting again"

I wish there would be a way to trigger a sync between devices. Often I have to wait a long time for my docs to sync. The latest example is a doc I edited yesterday on my iPad which still doesn't appear on my mac the following afternoon. I would be much easier if I could trigger it with a click!

It just doesn't work in any of my devices. I've had prepared 4 weeks of classes in advance using it and now I can not have access to any of my files. They simply do not work. And it is not a 15minutes thing as many are saying, I'm stuck with this message for 48hours now and it doesn't go away.
I'll move to another app.

I don't even care about backing up, I live on the edge, but using this app while being interrupted every minute with this message is maddening. At least allow us to silence it. If this keeps up I'll switch to Notability and hopefully get a refund on this purchase. How has this been an issue for over 4.5 years?!? Don't ignore this GoodNotes folks, this is how you lose your user base.

The sync issue with iCloud is still a major problem. I am running the latest Good Notes 5 version both on Mac and iPad but synchronization in both directions is not reliable.
Any tips?

I’ve tried to give it a long while to see if it improved, but GoodNotes 5 is like half the app GoodNotes 4 is. I like the idea of the new features GoodNotes 5 has, but it just doesn’t work well. The sync literally took over 5 days, but I wouldn’t have even cared had it been great. It is SO glitchy & delayed. I exclusively use GoodNotes 4 and will continue to do so. Praise the Lord I have it. I didn’t want to write this on the App Store comments because I don’t want to bring down the rating. I can’t express how thankful I am for GoodNotes 4. It’s phenomenal! Also, I can’t express how sad GoodNotes 5 makes me. I do have a large amount of PDFs on both, so maybe that effects GoodNotes 5, but GoodNotes 4 doesn’t have any problem with it.

I have just purchased a new iPad, and ever since I am getting “we encountered an issue when syncing your notes on iCloud. Error detail: there might be a problem with the server. Please try again later. My phone was syncing fine but I turned off iCloud syncing on my phone thinking it might help. It did not.

also have the issue of the app always spending time on "preparing for a faster experience" when I open it in a meeting - super annoyign and I am thinking of switching to another app because of that - when will a fix be provided?? (2)

Please resolve the “preparing your library for a faster experience”. It makes the software useless as a paperless solution as the resulting delay forces users back to paper. Until fix is available, please advise on any means to resolve or minimize the issue as GoodNotes is a critical piece of my workflow.

Fix this or lose customers. I can't continue to sit in meetings waiting for "preparing your library for a faster experience" while I have a room full of people looking to me for answers that are on my ipad but I can't get too.
Your last post on this issue was two years ago in which you declared "We’re happy to announce that we have finally found a fix for the issues with iCloud". No you haven't and your customers are not happy! -

Agreed. I am also having the same issue - getting the preparing your library for a faster experience screen the first time I open it every day and it takes several minutes. I assume it is related to the fact that my iPad syncs overnight when plugged in and something is getting mixed up. Please fix!!

I have been waiting for almost a week now for an answer from GoodNotes to also have my problem fixed with the message “preparing your library for a faster experience”. I have to wait at least a minute before I can get into GN5. I’m completely fed up with it.
