After I quickly note in a class, I would like to convert them to the text after, or when it is a short break. Ideally, I would like the typed text to replace the handwritten text.
Can you add a button (next to Share button) for handwriting being replaced with the text?

Please make this happens it would be super useful for college students and business people alike.

Noteshelf 2 does this beautifully.

You write some text with the pen, use the lazo tool, select convert to text and then in the edit box you click the button to convert to text and it replaces your handwritten text with clean text.

I'd love to use good note but without this feature the workaround is just to painful and ands too much friction

YES PLEASE!!! This would be AMAZINGLY EPIC!!!

Any Updates on this by the way? For it will be 3 years this June since the initial request was made!

This has to happen ASAP for the Lasso tool is not an effective way at all to export a lot of text out of the app. (too time-consuming & tedious)

Also, Nebo makes Good Notes 5 way of converting & exporting text look archaic!

So there must be 3 options to export to text:

1_ The whole notebook
2_ Multiple pages
3_ A single page

+ There must be a better way to efficiently check & correct words for conversion errors... (before exporting)

—> Like in Nebo, by hovering over the handwriting, the text conversion pops up... Quickly showing the user if the conversion is correct.

This feature would instantaneously elevate GoodNotes 5 above the rest... Making it a lot more useful & efficient!

If not automatically, then add a conversion option for selected handwritten text:

Currently, selected handwriting can be: 1) exported to text for sending elsewhere, or 2) searched for.

As an additional option for selected handwritten text, it'd be useful to have an option to convert it to a Text Box.

Converting Handwriting to Letters is so unpleasent aat the moment.
I very often need to convert my Handwriting:
1.) select Lasso
2.) Use the Lasso to select the hanwritig
3. Convert to letters
4. copy to clipboard
5. erase the handwritten text
6. instert the letters from clipboard

The are too many steps !!!
Please generate a button like "Replace", so I can replace the handwritten text with letters with just one tap.

AND ... to be able to canx, edit, copy or replace the converted text PRIOR. Some text conversions are spot on while others aren't.

The ability to correct the converted text before taking an action makes the workflow much more efficient.

Like many others, I am baffled this is not how the feature was initially implemented. This would be a great addition to GoodNotes

The only thing Notability really is doing a better job at the moment. Such a good application with just a little deficits.

Is this ever going to become in the “Planing” stage?

I honestly have no idea why they haven't implemented this. I mean jeez even on an ugly coding method it'd be simple, "lasso" the whole page, text box whole page, paste. A lot harder for the user to do that, and it's been a requested feature since...well as far back as I can see them having handwriting integration.

I was honestly baffled this wasn’t one of the main features the app included, sort of dissatisfied that this app costs so much but doesn’t have this feature. I will stay disappointed until they make this update because this is something that NEEDS to be included.
