'Send to Back', 'Send to Front", 'Send Backward', 'Send Forward'
Like in any application you can send images or objects backward, forward, etc. Would be great to have this especially when you want the handwritings to overlap with images or vice versa, or when you need to edit it.
When I was still using a Samsung Note 8, I was able to do this so, im pretty sure the mighty iPad Pro can do it as well :)
its pretty basic since many of the applications already in iOS do this. Would love for this basic feature to be available. if it already is, please... someone help me!

New to goodnotes - thought I must be missing how to do this, as it seems like such a basic thing!

Hey!! I found a solution! You can cut whatever it is that you want to place in the front and then paste it after you have the image that you want to have in the bottom. This is also super useful to trace drawings. Hope it helps

I think it would be great if we could lasso an item, whether it be pen, text, or image and have the option to move it back or forward a layer. Ie if you write something handwritten then insert an image and lasso the text/whatever you've drawn on top of it, it gets hidden behind the picture. I've love to lasso it, select move to front and then move it on top of the picture.
Don't necessarily need layers to be like in Procreate but, some ability to move lasso'd items in front or behind other items would be a great addition. -

Also forgot to add, I would like to insert a post it note image and be able to write dot points on that post it note image - BUT can’t do that.

I would like to see this feature, exspecially when you have a solid image and you want to put a PNG image over the top. My PNG image keeps going behind the solid image, where it can’t be seen.

I agree. In particular, it is necessary to control the overlap between images and between images and text.

You need to be able to chose where your image is in relation to other things on the page ( send to back, front, etc)

great call!
the features we all utilized before we discovered Goodnotes so we don't need to use those old apps any longer will make Goodnotes irreplaceable.

I use good notes as my planner and decorate my pages with digital stickers. I would like to be able to arrange the decorative items moving them in front or back of others like in apps that gave the 'arrange' feature. I would also like to be able to resize the elements by adjust the height and width separately

It would be nice to be able to move an image, text box, etc behind or in front of another (to place previously written text on top of a newly imported photo, for example), rather than having to cut and paste to change the order. An opacity tool might accomplish the same thing.

Sometimes, I need to put two layers at the same place. For example, I have drawn an opaque rectangle and then I would like to type something over that so I type it. However, what happens is that the typed letters come behind the rectangle instead of in front. It was no use trying typing first and drawing later.
There would be no problem if I were able to decide which layer comes over which layer.
