More Text box capabilities
I would like more options on what you can do with the text box. Such as:
1) ability to have two different writing styles in the same text box (red and black, bold and regular)
2) An indent button
3) maybe even a whole different text box for bullet points, lists, and things of that sort

I still wish we could indent lists! This post is from 2013 which is making me lose hope GoodNotes will ever fix it.
We want INDENTED / HIERARCHICAL LISTS!
For example...
• Topic
______ • Item
____________ • Detail
____________ • Detail
______ • Item
• Topic
______ • Item

Rather than more text box capabilities I say get rid of them and create a fully fledged text editor where the converted handwriting goes directly to the paper itself not a text box that moves around the page. I like this idea here:

Text boxes or text pages that allow text to flow to the next page instead of just disappearing off the page. I would like to type my notes sometimes and don’t want to have to create a new text box every time I hop to a new page.
But just more intuitive and easy to format/edit text boxes in general would be a great improvement. I feel like they aren’t treated as equal to the handwriting. -

I would really like better text abilities. Notability has a very handy text features that lets you convert handwriting straight to the same page, and then you can easily edit using ‘favourite’ formatting options. This saves so much time and Makes for a smooth workflow. Goodnotes is a much better writing experience, which is why I chose it over Notability, but the text formatting is too restrictive.
I also really need a to tab function since my notes often incorporate bullet lists.

Please allow us to duplicate text box so that we do not have to format the text every time we type something, especially when we're using the same style.

Well Mr GoodNotes are you going to answer here, or have you adopted the Apple attitude of simply ignoring the people who actually are the reason for your business? The simple truth is that for all its pretty tricks, GoodNotes is a major fail when it comes to text editing. To not have the basic tools of indent, bullet points and flexible font variation is more than disappointing...it makes the price of your product almost...almost, a waste of money. It’s a shame really, because much of your product is outstanding - its just that you cannot market it as a complete solution when, in reality, it isn’t. And so I will dump my copy and find something better.

Yes. Agreed. Very much necessary.

Apple's iOS notes' text box features are a good model — a few styles of headings and lists. The simple tables are nice too. But the font they use is terrible, with its 'a' that looks like 'o'. Choose the right font for GoodNotes! I recommend Source Sans Pro.
If GoodNotes had just a little more in the way of text box capabilities, that would help me create professional-looking outlines to which I could add sketches and annotations. Notability does this best right now, but their app isn't as quick as GoodNotes, and doesn't have such simple, elegant drawing tools.

This should allow for basic, HTML-like formatting such as the ones that are found in wiki editors (e.g. markdown-based):
- Bold, italic, underlined, subscript, superscript, text color, highlight color
- Headings
- Bullet lists and numbered lists with several levels of indentation
- Ideally, tables
- Insert pictures
- Hyperlinks (to a URL or to a bookmark in the same or another notebook)
- Special characters
- Horizontal rule
- Etc. -

Yes please, it would be ideal to be able to format heading sizes, bullet points, bold key words or italicize key phrases within one text box. I just found myself having to create 6 separate text boxes cause I want 1 main bold heading, 2 subheadings and 2 normal paragraphs and an indented bulleted section. I came here to see if there was a tutorial I missed. I hope you can pick this up for your next updates. Thank you.

UX Write has gone out of business. However, they open source much of their .docx app that used Lyx styles and Tex formatting. You should look at it and adopt its use of styles for paragraph and word for marring. This would allow you to apply styles to the handwritten script and apply them to the printed or converted text. You could have a menu of styles that are GoodNotes generated but User modifiable by document. This would allow users and GoodNotes to come up with style templates for different kinds of documents.

Simple text style options .. Bold, italic, underline, 3 diff colours, bullets, numbers ... All as simple clean as possible... But applying to words rather than whole box
Also would be great to set text box parameters as text box styles ... Ie could click tool bar option to choos one of say 3 different text box styles ..... Could in effect create a set of sticky notes that are quick to select

Being able to edit text boxes more easily when switching between another app and goodnotes would be nice, too.
If I switch to another app and come back the text box is closed to entry and I need to long press and choose edit and then edit.I know it seems like a trivial issue and it probably is. But while I am using good notes to take notes as I read something online on the browser or something like that, it gets old quickly to repeat these steps.

I suggest to enable setting the height of each line in the text box, so that the contents in the text box can align well with the hand writing contents.
