An error occurred while saving the comment ScribeWithAStylus commentedAn infinitely long set of scrolling pages similar to Notability rather then to OneNote would be a good approach. I like what several users said about having the user able to set margins at the top and bottom of each page as well as the importance of printability and of using it as a display device. I also like what they say about the importance of keeping it as an option. Many "Notetaking" and "Writing" techniques such as Cornell Notetaking are page based for solid reasons.

You should look at it and adopt its use of styles for paragraph and word for marring. This would allow you to apply styles to the handwritten script and apply them to the printed or converted text. You could have a menu of styles that are GoodNotes generated but User modifiable by document. This would allow users and GoodNotes to come up with style templates for different kinds of documents.

In GoodNotes 5 we implemented the option to create infinite subfolders to replace the concept of “categories” in GoodNotes 4. Consider using multiple documents in a subfolders instead of adding everything to one notebook. If you want to further divide your notebook internally, you can use bookmarks or custom outlines to label your pages.

In them, sections of the notebook are in tabs across the top and pages (that can be more then one page long) are in tabs along the left side. Both the sections and pages can be renamed. This scheme works well for hierarchical structuring of notes and greatly facilitates navigation.

An error occurred while saving the comment ScribeWithAStylus commentedAdding a ToDo, GTD like task management entry to GoodNotes would be good. However, rather then Omnifocus or Trello, do what Airmail did and set up broader integration
From their webpage, they have:

- TaskTo which I would add TaskTask and DejaOffice for better integration into the Microsoft Outlook world. Also IHomework 2 for the student's ToDo world.
This would be very useful and like audio recording and syncing of recording with text as you write it, would place you a head above everyone else.
I would be willing to pay optional add in fees of $4 for the linkages to the Task/ToDo programs and $2 for the links to the browsers to help pay for your development costs.
Thank you,

Even better would be a simple subset of the graphics tools in the old MacDraw/Clarisdraw program. Have the ability to call up the set of drawing tools on the left side of the screen when you need them and then dismiss them when you are done. NoteTaker HD by Software Garden had some of these features which is part of the reason it is still hanging around even though it has neither handwriting recognition nor recording capabilities. The ability to draw competent simple flowcharts, floor plans and diagrams within a notebook is wonderful. You can leave the complex drawing to the big boy graphics programs. We need the simple stuff for notebooks.
Thank you,
