It is fundamental for me to use more than three colors in so many context, and right now this breaks the flow of note taking. There is so much space left in the bar, why not adding more?

Not only is this really efficient, but it makes the Notes app much more effective in meetings, and is a vital tool for dyslexic people in education and work. For example I use:

black – notes
Green – questions
blue – my reflective thoughts on what's really going on
red – action points. To come back to and Tick off

Obviously it slows the process down when you have to tap and select. I often lose the flow of conversation.

GoodNotes would be the most ideal app for note-taking if there were more than three main colors for writing. Please add this!!!

Please add something like Notability has on the left side. Favorite tools bar (tool type + color + thickness). Or at least more favorite colors in the top bar.

Given how easy compared to other suggestions it is to implement this feature with such an impact, it seems like they just don't care about it...

Yes please. 3 colors is not enough

It's REALLY ANNOYING to keep changing colors across only 3 options on the menu!!!

This should be top 3 priority. I am on the edge of leaving Goodnotes because of this.

Recently made the switch from Notability because of the better organization in Goodnotes and let me tell you, It's been such a hard switch. The favorites bar in Notability is so under appreciated now that I'm on Goodnotes—it was so useful being able to quickly switch between like 10 of my favorite colored pens and highlighters. I don't want to have to click into menus to switch colors to write a word or two—seeing that this was first requested 3 whole years ago, it's ridiculous that it hasn't been implemented yet. This is such an easy addition. Even on smaller screens, you could just have a scrolling part of the bar that includes colors and pen sizes. It's so much harder to take notes, especially since a big selling point is that the notes you take are more "aesthetic"—I hardly see any pretty notes with 3 colors.

I stand by this topic, please add more color slots, I barely use all functions, but I change colors often and within more than 3 options, not being a design sketching type of user, I just take notes and need more than 3 colors. Functions are much more easily accessible, you just have to slide the bar and click. Changing one of the 3 colors takes much more time. Please add option to customize it, this shouldn't take much effort to code...

We could have the option add colors on the sides of the screen for example, I don't know, figure something out.

Goodnotes updates many features more frequently than I expected. But I don't know why such a simple request cannot be added to their development schedule. Every year I revisit this page and this question, but as you could expect, always be disappointed.

Well said! Even I have so many ready to use colours in one note.
Onenote lacks a proper color selector but good note has it...but what's the use when I have only 3 options!

I've just switched from another notestaking app. I found out GoodNotes is better but man just make more colour options for us please. I don't know why it takes us almost 3 years to get this feature lolll but I'm waiting and I know there are many people waiting for this feature SO PLEASE GOODNOTES.

This is not the outcome I expected when I googled for how to increase the color slots in good notes. This would take 1 dev 1 day. Give it to an intern!

Yes we need more than just 3 colors, this is one of the reasons why I'm going back to notability
