Please add scanner function to the camera.
I want to use my camera to scan directly to goodNotes..but the camera function must be better example with a scanner function.Thank you
We added an OCR document scanner to GoodNotes 5.3 on iPadOS. You can now scan documents and add them to your library in GoodNotes or to existing documents. Tap the + button in the library or in the navigation bar of an open document and select “scan”.
the document scanner supports OCR to make typed text searchable in GoodNotes for all latin-based languages. You can read more about our latest update on goodnotes.com/ipad-os.

It would be great to be able to scan documents for direct integration (as Apple's Notes app does). I am a student and I often need to scan paper documents (like a card for example) to be able to annotate directly on the iPad.
But Goodnotes can not do it, so I have to use other apps (ScanBot, Apple Notes). -

Second, and also would love an option to scan with my iPhone as it is possible in Notes: the camera is superior.

I use GoodNotes to take notes during presentations. I take photos of the presented slide to make annotations - for each photo I have to clip the page, would be great to have this done automatically. Should work with the DocumentScanner, typically it is a bright slide on dark background.

each app is missing something.. good note is missing this and table creation amongst a few others..

I would like to see that too. I’m a student and my professors often hand out worksheets but I want to have all my notes in the GoodNotes app. Now, whenever I get a worksheet I have to open the iOS notes app, open a new note, scan the document, export it as a PDF, save it on my cloud, open the PDF in GoodNotes and then delete the iOS note and the PDF on the cloud. So it would save me a lot of time in class if the GoodNotes app had a built-in document scanner.

I regularly use GoodNotes to "scan" documents like business cards, and paper documents that I want to keep handy. It would be VERY cool if GoodNotes could do OCR, edge detection, and automatic straightening of documents I take pictures of and make PDFs out of so that I can annotate them.

Yes, when taking meeting notes ... we usually taking picture of a paperboard or any other document. But the IOS camera is not enough. We need something that automatically detects the edges, fixes geometry, removes shadows and other visual defects to make a perfect scan ...

Yes, option to use camera function to create a PDF rather then a JPG or whatever format it currently uses.

Make text searchable. If I scan a document as a PDF and import to goodnotes, I would like to be able to search for certain items within PDF.

I sometimes use the camera to "scan" a paper I want to add to my notes. But if that worked like in external scanning apps, text resolution would be ideal.
