I wrote a large number of pages on plain 'paper' with the iPad rotation-locked and oriented in landscape position. So the lines of text go from bottom to top. Then I discovered that handwriting search doesn't work for those pages. And next I discovered that there were some page templates that are in landscape orientation; and text search does work for them.

So now I want to convert all my portrait-pages-with-landscape-writing to actual landscape-pages, but when I do that the existing content is still bottom-to-top and gets truncated.

We need a way to reorient the writing when switching a page from a portrait background to a landscape background. A 90-deg rotation feature should do the trick.

Guys.......I am about to abandon Goodnotes for something that I can trust the development team in keeping up with their customer needs. This does not appear to be a difficult request.

I have to have this feature to continue.

I have recently purchased good note and find it's really difficult to work efficiently, its ability to be able to detect hand writing is good (the down side being that you need to always press the x button to close the highlighted searched words instead of just automatically disappear)

now come the bigger part.
1. I wish I can merge multiple notes together, sometimes I write notes on separated notebook but at the end I wish I have the choice to merge them into one
2.Move page from one notebook to the other without having to copy and paste the content one by one
3. support powerpoint layout without mess up with the format (I always need to save ppt onto pdf on computer and upload to good note)
4. continue the page by sliding down - would really prefer the format if page continue from each other (sometimes sliding make me have a headache when read the note too much)
5. improve the convenience when choosing landscape page - i always have to add from template, choose, edit, rotate 90 degree - its inconvenient for me
6. i always forget to remove the autoshape button and it's annoying sometimes
7. MOST IMPORTANTLY! I want to be able to open up 2 notebooks at the same time - as I can see the lecture slides on the left and make summary note on the right.

PLEASE HELP!!! If the above features already have within the app but I don't know how to do, please do suggest and guide me thank you

Seems odd to be using a notes application for drafting.

i'd like to select handwritten text and rotate freely.

My company uses this to draw over PDF's and we need to constantly use a ruler on the screen to scale to 100% to measure. If we could enter 100% scale and lock to this it would be helping thousands of people here!

Also the ability to be able to rotate notes. Seems very odd there is no function for this yet.

Able to rotate page, crop the view in one page or in many pages. Many times in pdf file the information is small in the center and crop view will be very helpful, only the view not really permanent change

I agree with all the mentionned wishes (rotate selected drawings/writings, free scaling), but also, PLEASE mirroring vertically and horizontally.

Agree with this request. This app is the most important program I have used on the ipad in the last five years. Im not sure the developers know that we are using it for purposes above and beyond simple note taking. We run a small engineering firm and we have converted to a 90% free paperless office based on this app. The ability to rotate text via the lasso tool is a must and based on comments is underway. This app is fantastic for managing engineering projects in the field and with the use of PDF Photos as a supporting program has increased our efficiency creating field reports. Thank you for your creativity and ongoing good work.

Absolutely needed! It is bewildering that this feature isn't already there.

I totally agree!!! Allow the lasso tool to rotate AND flip handwriting and any objects would be nice.
Also the option to allow the lasso tool to copy or crop out the background would be super cool.
