Perfect Shape Tool
Good Notes 4's shape tool was significantly better than Good Notes 5's tool. On Good Notes 5 it is almost always imperfect. Can you please add an option in the shape tool that allows for a subset of perfect shapes, like circles, squares, rectangles, etc... Another suggestion is that you could make it so that when we draw a shape using the pen tool and hold it the shape automatically snaps to a perfect shape. This would be incredibly useful for making graphs and charts that need precise lines. Not everyones hand is as steady as an artists and for the average person drawing shapes on the current tool is finicky and difficult. Tweaking the app would make a world of a difference.
We’re happy to announce that the update 5.6.0 that we released today adds an improved shape recognition including the option to hold at the end of a line to make a perfect shape, shape selection, and curve drawing.

Imagine me trying to draw a bunch of hexagon molecules in organic chemistry, it was so frustrating and impossible to draw them and make it seem it that it was a hexagon. I love this idea !

The Goodnotes Shape Tool is so frustrating, especially for math. It only works like half the time
