If the date/time was incorporated into the metadata associated with each block of handwriting recognition text, then selecting the text could also bring up a menu option to view date/time of writing.

Sometimes I make a note that I don’t think is important to date at the time, but then looking back at a later point wish I had. Implementing this metadata and the option to view it would eliminate this problem.

I would like a timestamp text insertable from the right click context menu. Consider a text block in which I add a line then from the right click add a timestamp then on the same line add the time sensitive text. This would be ideal for logging and reporting activities.

1. Add a stamp/button tapping which the date and time will be printed on the opened page and it can be put anywhere by the user.
2. Add more pen options like dotted(….) and dashed(- - - -)
3. Square shape of eraser to be added so that more finishing in lines can be achieved

I often write dates on pages to organise my notes, it would be great if these could be auto identified (or if there was a button to insert the date) - and then have a mechanism to easily link from a calendar to the notes made on that day.

For example, I write the date at the top of the notes for a meeting. Later in the Goodnotes interface (or my standard calendar app) I can click on a date in a calendar and it will show all the instances of notes made on that day and provide quick links to those occurrences.

Would love to have YYYY-MM-DD as prefix for every note. This possibility should be easy to implement an could be activated optional.

This will totally be useful! I write date and time manually when I write so I can split my content up.

I have devised a workaround until Goodnotes decides to add a very simple, but much-needed timestamp to notes.

It involves adding a shortcut to the IOS shortcuts app. I've attached the screenshot for building. Once built I've added it to my home screen, which when selected will copy today's date and time into your clipboard and make it available to paste into Goodnotes.

Not perfect, but it helps me.

WOW! Can’t believe all my notes do not have a digital stamp of date and time! I would think that would have been a first basic feature! So disappointed!

As others have mentioned this should be a top priority. One of the easiest implementations is to just allow a print of the date and time on each new page.
