Move the Undo and Redo buttons in Goodnotes 6 back to the top right corner as they were in Goodnotes 5.
The "UNDO" and "REDO" buttons in Goodnotes 6 have moved from the top right corner in Goodnotes 5 to the top left corner. When using UNDO, it's often necessary to see up to which step I've undone. But after moving to the top left, not only does my right hand have to move a considerable distance, but my entire hand covers the screen, making it hard to see where I've undone to. I hope the UI design can be changed back to the top right corner.

Even though I'm a Leftie, i feel as though the top right corner suited my hand movement way better.

Thank you for this tip. They definitely need to fix this!

Glad to announce with the 6.3.0 update they added the ability to move the Undo and Redo buttons to the top right corner of the screen if you so desire.

Totally agree!!!
So PLEASE either move the undo button back to the top right corner (sorry, "leftys", but the majority is writing with the right hand) or make it customizable! The 2nd MAJOR drawback of the new position is that the undo arrow is right below the back arrow. So me and my students have to be really aware not to close the document we're working on - it undeliberately happens often now - so annoying!

Exactly! I hate the new change so much, but since our It admin made it obligatory for everyone to use Gn 6 I can’t even switch back to Gn 5.
Please give us an option to choose whether we want it on the left or on the right. It shouldn’t be that difficult to program that. -

This was great for me as a lefty though... things should be more customizable/configurable

With the new UI design of GoodNotes 6, the undo button has been placed near the exit button.
I Have found myself on many occasions attempting to press the undo button yet accidentally pressing the exit button. This was not an issue in GoodNotes 5, as the undo was on the opposite side of the screen.
However when I return to the specific notebook, the undo / redo is reset, and thus the change I wanted to undo is permanently done. This is specifically annoying when I erase an extremely important note by having the eraser too big, or a slip of the hand and end up losing the data permanently.
A side note on the UI design:
The IPad’s multi-tasking menu (full screen, split screen, and slide over options (three dots at the top of the screen)) is in the same area of the display as the notebooks that are currently open. This makes is somewhat annoying to switch to tabs that are in the centre of the carousel. -

Just move the toolbar to the bottom, then there's no issue of covering text

Don’t forget us left- handers however!

Please please pleaseeeee move the undo and redo buttons back to the right side of the screen like they were in Goodnotes 5. I avoided getting Goodnotes 6 for a while because I can't stand the undo and redo being on the left. As the majority of the population is right-handed, it makes more sense to keep those buttons on the right so we can easily continue with our workflow if we make mistakes. This has slowed down my workflow tremendously, and I have tried to get used to it for over a month no to no avail. At least give us the option to have them back on the right side.

As an high school teacher, this is a must have app for teaching with mirroring feature, and I see more students using the app in my classes every year. Unfortunately, as I did, many made the comment that the undo/redo was more user friendly being on the right side. We wish there was a feature allowing to have a choice. If so, I would definitely upgrade to GoodNotes 6, but otherwise, it’s a compromise I can’t make, even with the gesture features.

I raised this issue a month ago, and if you search for the keyword "undo", many users have expressed the same concern. However, GoodNotes 6 still hasn't made any improvements and is ignoring users' feedback.

Goodnotes 6 moved the undo button to the left hand side of the toolbar. Now my hand is all time above the text when undoing handwritten text. Could it be possible to let the user decide the order of tool buttons?
Current place is good for lefthanded persons, but not for right handed. -

The undo arrow is right below the back arrow. I’ve used Goodnotes 6 for five minutes and have hit the back button instead of the undo button three times already. Whyyy?

I'm REALLY hoping someone at GoodNotes sees this and gives it to the programmers as a 5 minute fix. This could be even done by some intern if they have one.

I TOTALLY agree...I'm even thinking about ditching Gn 6 because of this. Since the apple pencil doesnt have a great erase interface, the undo feature is everything. At least let us have a choice to move it to the right. Lefties might like left but not the rest of us. It takes "forever" to move the pencil so far across the screen for it. Not to mention the eraser is just next to it, so it kind of defeats the purpose in some ways. It should be an easy program fix as well.

Hi I'm a lefty, but I really really prefer it on the right! That way, I don't have to move my hand as much to reach it. They should let us pick for ourselves!!v

The change made to the undo are not funcional as they have been switched from the right to the left side
